Great knife!
Bought this as a gift for my husband who loves to cook- he loves it! Its sharp and cuts nicely and looks much fancier than the price would suggest. Highly recommend!

Defective handle x2
purchased knife, noticed handle was jiggling, was able to pull blade out of handle, sent back for exchange. got new knife, was extra gentle with washing wood handle, lasted two weeks before handle was jiggling again and was able to pull blade out of handle again. the wood in the handle is too cheap and does not secure blade as there is nothing holding blade in handle besides tension. Wack.

Wife is probably right, but I like it
I've never used a kitchen knife that looks and feels like this. It's awesome to easily cut through a salmon fillet, though I have others that will work almost as well. It feels balanced and precise to me. Very sharp. Keep this thing away from the edge of kitchen counters and out of the reach of curious grandchildren or children. My wife also likes this knife for chopping veggies. Her complaint: She feels fatigued at the top of her thumb after a short time of chopping, unlike other knives she uses. It feels heavy to her. I'm not a particularly gifted veggie chopper because of my arthritic thumbs. The weight and balance don't bother me; I'm not using repetitive motions for very long. That's why we give this knife a four instead of a five. I recommend it, but you might pass on this one if you don't feel you have enough hand strength. Check the specifics on the sales pitch. One other thing. This Japanese knife is made in China. Doesn't make a difference to me, but it jumped right out at me when I read the specs.

Sharp but not durable.
After a few weeks the blade fell out of the handle during use. A bit dangerous to me. I would not recommend, nor I am I going to repurchase from the brand.

Pretty good kitchen knife
The quality feels good. I wish it came a little sharper though. All around, not bad.
