You don’t Bluetooth the speakers rather you Bluetooth the tuneramp thru the the headphone portal!

Q: Can a subwoofer be added?

You cannot add subwoofers or any other speakers to the pair

Q: speaker says connected but no blu tooth devices in my apartment are paired with it, i use line in only. how does that happen?

Try unplugging the speakers first and relocating them where no other device will connect and see if it still does the same.
