This was my first digital video camera, and it has a lot of fantastic features and settings. It also came with 2 batteries AND a charger, so I can use one while charging the other. Instructions don't say much more than 'you have this feature, and here it is'...wish there was a more extensive instruction manual that came with it. I found it difficult to figure out how everything works, and it takes practice to quickly and smoothly operate it if you need to switch features. There is not a stabilization feature and no focus feature. If you are going to be standing still and taking your videos, it's absolutely the right camera for you, but if you are going to be walking or moving it takes shaky and sometimes blurry videos. I am a novice, and didn't realize how important that is. So, I'm getting a stabilizer handle, then may have to go to a gimble, which costs more than the camera did. I do love it, but respect it's limitations - I learned a lot from using it.
