Nice stuff, nice price.
I installed this on my xbull winch to replace the red rope it came with, the red rope was turning pink, so i decided it was time to turn the old stuff into a winch rope extension. The new winch rope is nice stuff overall, I like that it comes with bit of winch rope protector sleeve. It has a little bit of a stitching going through to rope to hold it in place, but it looks easy enough to undo if i ever need to move the protection sleeve around.I also added another couple leads of the protection sleeve to the rope before installation, sometimes it's nice to have a few points.Plus the sleeve protects the rope from long term uv damage.Doing a quick test with it, just pulling the jeep up a hill to set the rope on the spool i don't forsee any issues.I also like how this one has the red warning section to let you know you're getting close to the end of the spool and in the danger area.I'm a big fan of synthetic winch line, the old xbull stuff i abused pretty well.It can do stuff a steel cable can't, and it's a lot less likely to kill you.For the price, i don't cringe too hard when doing stuff like running the winch line from the front, right under the vehicle, and then pull the vehicle backwards! That was also the final "hey lets replace the xbull line" after i had to do that once... lol

Perfect for HF winches !
I installed this on my Harbor Freight 12,000 pound winch that came with a steel cable. When I bought my winch, it came with two little tiny extra screws. One of the longer screws is what you will use to attach this rope to the winch. You will see the threaded hole on the right side of the winch barrel. That is where you attach the end of this rope with the longest screw and then you just start winding everything on. Very easy and simple. You will not use the old mounting system of the steel cable. Yank that steel cable off and you will see that threaded hole. This rope came with the perfect end and a steel cap. Don’t hesitate, buy this rope and convert your winch into awesomeness.

Good Quality
Mounted on a 8274. Good quality. Had to drill out the mounting hole just a bit to use the original mounting bolt. 3/8”x100’ fits on the spool just fine.

Great…with modifications
I bought this so I could help guide a rotten tree falling near my house. I did not need a winch so I needed to remove the end winch connector piece and make an eye splice that goes back into the rope.I also did not like the fact that the other end, with the hook, was only sliced back into the rope about 8 inches, this would not be strong enough to support the full load of the rope. I redid this and made an eye splice that went back into to the rope about 2ft.With those modifications, this rope successfully pulled a large maple tree away from my house while I cut it down. The tree fell where it was supposed to and the rope was the reason why.For the price and with a little research and modification this rope is great. If you just want one you can buy and not modify for your needs, then i wouldn’t recommend this, cause without modification i doubt it would pull heavy weight but with a longer eye spice on the hook end, then im pretty confident it would be strong enough.
