Toddleroo Superyard: 6-Panel, 18.5 SqFt Baby Playard; Sand

Very easy to put together, this is the second one we’ve purchased due to the price and size being the best we have found, it’s a bit wobbly at first but once you put the padding on the bottom it helps a lot, it’s easy to open and fold up. We have both of them mounted to the walls but I feel like using it as a big travel gate could be super simple.

Our dog has had major femur surgery that requires him to be as immobile as possible for 12 weeks. Because of the delicate nature of his leg, we were told to not place him in a kennel.After one week of confining him to a 5x3 bathroom with the door closed, or on a leash indoors and on only rug-covered floor spaces, 24/7, I was ready to lose my mind. And so was he.Out of desperation after only one week of this confinement for he and me. I sprung for the $62+ price and had it Prime shipped. It arrived today. I set it up in three minutes and when my dog saw it, he went through the gate and lay down. He is so safe and cozy in his new "home."It is large enough for our 45-lb Rottie mix to lay down, stretch out, walk a few steps, comfortably. Looking at the picture, I'm sure it's helpful to know that the rug is 5x8 ft and the dog bed is 29x36 inches.Dog and human both rate this sturdy, well-connected "play yard" 5+ stars. I highly recommend this for anyone to be able to easily supervise a pet's location or mobility. Note:. I would NEVER leave a pet or child unsupervised in this enclosure.I'm confident we will make it through our dog's 3-month strictly-mandated confinement with full healing and this enclosure will play a huge part! I'm so thankful for this product; words can't fully express my gratitude.UPDATE: we are now in week 5 of using this playpen for our 45-lb pup and it has definitely been a blessing. If not for this restricted space, I would have LOST MY MIND by now. One thing I learned this week, however: now that our dog is stronger and more confident with using his healing leg, he is able to push this entire structure around the room when he gets super excited. He's jumped up on the sides of it a couple of times in the last two days, but thankfully it's sturdy enough that it never even gave the appearance of tipping over. Both are something to think about if you have strong toddlers that you intend to use this with. Adult supervision at all times is required, whether with children or with pets.

Good for pets and littles. Strong and secure, easy to assemble.

The good; it keeps whatever/whomever you want in, in or out depending on how you plan to use it. It’s nice to be able to fold up and travel with. We’ve taken it to my in-laws multiple times to help baby proof their home while we are there. You can pretty much manipulate it to how you want, currently we have it around our TV stand and blocking off the entrance to our dining room.Knocked off one star because it can be a pain to open up, it’s not super easy bend the panels in place. Takes a bit of effort. I’ve bruised my foot trying to hold the bottom down while bending a panel how I’d like.Overall it’s decent quality and I’m satisfied with the purchase.

I repurchase the product.My first one I purchased since 2016 for my 1st son, then saved it for the next baby, now back in 2019 my 2nd son born, we decided to buy another one to unite as one big piece.He is so happy crawling and standing anywhere he wants.1. Sturdy2. He grabs while standing it moves a little but it’s safe to wiggle.3. Durable4. Foldable5. You can see your child.6. The only thing my husband can only open and close to disconnect because I can’t open, so I climb over.You know, I was reading other they’re saying is flimsy and unsafe because the parent stating that has a 11 month old and 4 year old and 6 year old together in the gate trying to climb over it.My opinion of course it will bend it’s meant for infants not toddler and older children.I only use it for my 10 month old who stand up and it will not collapse, I do have a 4 year old, I don’t not let him play inside there I tell him he is a big boy.He understands.Update November 2020My boy is 1 year and 5 months old he’s gotten stronger and can walk now pretty advanced and jumps and pushes, I mean he is 31 pounds now compared when he was 11 months back in my previous review above , and my boy is so smart he was starting to use the small holes of this item that he became Spider-Man, climbing out of it, I said to myself, it’s times for you to move out of this playard.So now I have him in a joovy room 2.Is definitely more compact, meaning small for what he as used to, but is definitely bigger than a regular pack and play. Check it out.

I used this to block off a large entryway to my dining room. Good quality.

So overall this does what I needed it to. I was looking for something that would attach to a wall and be movable. I have these tricky stairs I was trying to block my toddler off from.The pros for this unit is it comes with two optional hinges. They screw onto the wall. Please note that only one of the hinges swings freely, as you would expect a hinge to operate. The other is stationary. I didn't realize this when I ordered it and it took me a while to figure out what was going on when I installed the first part of it to my wall. I found the setup to be a little bit difficult, but I never bothered to read the directions, and I was completely exhausted from moving into a new house. So my troubles with setup could have been user error and it may be easier for most people.I find the connected panels very difficult to turn and position in the right angle. There is this spring loaded corner that you push down on and the unit is supposed to turn. Once in a while it swings and moves easily, but most of the time, in my experience I can't get the unit to skip passed these notches that lock the corners in place. Don't expect to change the shape of it very easily while juggling a toddler.The hinge that swings freely feels rather flimsy. I set this side up with a single panel at the top of the stairs. I lock it to the banister with a ratchet strap to keep little one from opening and closing it. It works pretty well. If my son starts aggressively trying to get down the stairs for some reason, I'm fully expecting this hinge to break. The box says its for ages up to two years old. I'm guessing that and the unit's rather short height are the reason for this.I like this product well, enough, that I may purchase an additional hinge set to block off the stairs in the playroom in the basement. I still have two panels left from my project. However, I may opt to purchase something more sturdy, if I can find something long enough for this spot.

This product was great and worked exactly as expected. Good quality and easy to assemble. It kept my baby safe and contained without making him feel trapped. It was a good size but I like that you can buy more panels to make the pen bigger if needed. I did end up returning because it was a little too big for my small apartment, but that’s no fault of the product itself :)
