Our dog has had major femur surgery that requires him to be as immobile as possible for 12 weeks. Because of the delicate nature of his leg, we were told to not place him in a kennel. After one week of confining him to a 5x3 bathroom with the door closed, or on a leash indoors and on only rug-covered floor spaces, 24/7, I was ready to lose my mind. And so was he. Out of desperation after only one week of this confinement for he and me. I sprung for the $62+ price and had it Prime shipped. It arrived today. I set it up in three minutes and when my dog saw it, he went through the gate and lay down. He is so safe and cozy in his new "home." It is large enough for our 45-lb Rottie mix to lay down, stretch out, walk a few steps, comfortably. Looking at the picture, I'm sure it's helpful to know that the rug is 5x8 ft and the dog bed is 29x36 inches. Dog and human both rate this sturdy, well-connected "play yard" 5+ stars. I highly recommend this for anyone to be able to easily supervise a pet's location or mobility. Note:. I would NEVER leave a pet or child unsupervised in this enclosure. I'm confident we will make it through our dog's 3-month strictly-mandated confinement with full healing and this enclosure will play a huge part! I'm so thankful for this product; words can't fully express my gratitude. UPDATE: we are now in week 5 of using this playpen for our 45-lb pup and it has definitely been a blessing. If not for this restricted space, I would have LOST MY MIND by now. One thing I learned this week, however: now that our dog is stronger and more confident with using his healing leg, he is able to push this entire structure around the room when he gets super excited. He's jumped up on the sides of it a couple of times in the last two days, but thankfully it's sturdy enough that it never even gave the appearance of tipping over. Both are something to think about if you have strong toddlers that you intend to use this with. Adult supervision at all times is required, whether with children or with pets.

Perfect fit for my curious puppy!

I’m using this as a pet gate/fence to protect our Christmas tree from an overzealous GSD and excitable Great Pyrenees puppy. They’ve already knocked the tree over once and the puppy has chewed up the lights. Since we put up the gate, which was easy to assemble, it has been great as a deterrent. It’s not heavy but feels like good quality. We are not using the wall mount because the tree is in front of the window. As long as the tree and gifts survive through Christmas, the gate has served its purpose.

I was worried like most things you can't really tell what size something is on the internet. I've been fooled like that before the picture "looks" like something would be decent size and you realize it's not even big enough for a tiny dog let alone children! I was very pleased when this arrived the size was great. I actually used it in a different way than most would. I have a huge living room that over looks my kitchen and while it's great for watching my kids and cooking meals at the same time I always worry about the accidental run ins through the kitchen. So I went looking for all types of gates most were very expensive with very little length so on my hunt I saw this and thought possibly six pieces would do the job. Well fully extended it's quite HUGE! It completely blocked the space I needed it too and it still had plenty of length room. I love it, it works great for just about anything you want to use it for. I plan on buying more in the future for other rooms in the house! I've been using this for about a week now and I really like it. I am not using it in the hexagon/octogon shape (I have 8 panels). Instead I have it going across my living room and bending behind furniture to make it stable. So far it has kept my 10 month old twin boys in their contained safe play area. They pull up to standing on the panels and everything is stable. I used the rubber pieces on the bottom of the panels and so far they seem to be working well. I repurchase the product. My first one I purchased since 2016 for my 1st son, then saved it for the next baby, now back in 2019 my 2nd son born, we decided to buy another one to unite as one big piece. He is so happy crawling and standing anywhere he wants. 1. Sturdy 2. He grabs while standing it moves a little but it’s safe to wiggle. 3. Durable 4. Foldable 5. You can see your child. 6. The only thing my husband can only open and close to disconnect because I can’t open, so I climb over. You know, I was reading other they’re saying is flimsy and unsafe because the parent stating that has a 11 month old and 4 year old and 6 year old together in the gate trying to climb over it. My opinion of course it will bend it’s meant for infants not toddler and older children. I only use it for my 10 month old who stand up and it will not collapse, I do have a 4 year old, I don’t not let him play inside there I tell him he is a big boy. He understands. Update November 2020 My boy is 1 year and 5 months old he’s gotten stronger and can walk now pretty advanced and jumps and pushes, I mean he is 31 pounds now compared when he was 11 months back in my previous review above , and my boy is so smart he was starting to use the small holes of this item that he became Spider-Man, climbing out of it, I said to myself, it’s times for you to move out of this playard. So now I have him in a joovy room 2. Is definitely more compact, meaning small for what he as used to, but is definitely bigger than a regular pack and play. Check it out.

These are flimsy, easy to break, and difficult to manipulate. It still accomplished my baby-proofing need, but it wasn't even close to the quality I thought it was. The plastic is very pliable, and the installation directions are just *fine* if you're already handy, but confusing if you're not. Tip: When you bend the joints to a new angle, bend it from the bottom joint. It takes muscle, and if you force it to move into a new angle at the top hinge, the plastic will break like it was made of porcelain. Positives: I do like that you can wall-mount them, and that you can get creative with the layout since each panel has a range of angles. One reviewer said you can't attach certain panels with others (like it has to be even numbered panels), but thats not true. If you need to attach or detach any panel, just make sure the next one in sequence is upside down from the last. The wall mounts will fit no matter how you have the gate set up. (NOTE: The wall mounts need to be installed with the "L"-shaped hinges facing UP, in order to lift the gate up and then down onto the wall mount.)

I used this to block off a large entryway to my dining room. Good quality.
