The Friendly Swede Goggles for Women & Men, 3 Nose Pieces & Case

It's been a while since I've swam competitively, but I recently started swimming again for exercise. I looked for the highest rated goggles that resembled the ones I used to compete with and picked up two pairs of Friendly Swede Swim Goggles. So far, I've swam in them a few times and they've been just as good as, if not better than the ones I used to compete with. I haven't had too much time with them just yet, so I'll update my review down the road, but I doubt I'll have any issues with these. Anyways, I'll try to go over each part of the goggles with my experiences so far. First and foremost, the Friendly Swede(s). I'm starting with the best point with the hopes that if you stop reading this review, that at least you'll get this. I received an e-mail from the seller asking me to leave a review of the goggles, and normally I don't e-mail back, but this time I did to ask a few questions about caring for the goggles. Jessie responded quickly and in a very friendly fashion - she was extremely nice, very honest, and really helpful. When I asked, she even told me the story behind their name! I haven't had any issues with the goggles so far, but I'm sure that if I did, I would have my problems taken care of very quickly. Second, the price: I bought two pairs for around $25 USD with tax - that would get me one pair of goggles anywhere else I tried to buy them. My old goggles cost $25 for one pair and didn't even fit as comfortably as these, so this purchase didn't really require any thought. Third, and most importantly, the quality: The goggles both appear to be higher quality than my old goggles (even when they were new) and fit better and more comfortably. I'll break it down by part: Lenses: The lenses are clear with a wide field of view so that you can see where you're going - I think they might have been a bit wider than my other goggles. They might not give you as great of a view as snorkling goggles, but I sure hope you're not snorkling with these. They're very slightly tinted (effectively none) so I wouldn't use them as outdoor swimming goggles for training during the summer, but they're great for indoor pools. I haven't tested their scratch resistance, and I hope that I never do, but they appear to be standard hard plastic, so I wouldn't go about mashing them into concrete just yet. As for anti-fog, they were absolutely great - I swam (multiple times) for over an hour in 84°F water and the goggles were barely fogged by the end of my workout. I had even let water into the goggles and yet I could see clearly. I will update my review when the anti-fog wears off - hopefully that won't be soon. Eyepieces: The eyepieces that cup around the eyes were very comfortable. I prefer mine tight, and after switching out the nosepiece to a slightly shorter one, the goggles fit perfectly around my eyes. I always had uncomfortable raccoon eyes after swimming, but these were very comfortable and required very little adjusting after putting them on the first time. While I may have still had marks around my eyes after taking them off, they wore off quickly and didn't irritate me at all. Strap: I noticed this a bit later when adjusting them, but the goggle straps are actually designed pretty intelligently. Whereas my competition goggles had a thin flat strap all the way through the goggles, these straps were cylindrical towards the middle and flat on the back of the head - therefore, they were easy to adjust and rethread without twisting, and also remained comfortable when I put them on. It was also very easy to adjust the length and tightness of the goggles, and the material appears to be strong. Basically, the Friendly Swede's customer service, price, and quality cannot be beat right now, unless someone gives me their goggles for free. Even then, I might prefer these goggles a little bit more.

I was a competitive swimmer since the 1970's - before they "invented" real swim goggles like these and I worn every brand you can name (Speedo, Tyr, Swim Fit and Nike) over the ensuing decades. These "Friendly Swede" goggles are absolutely the finest fitting, best performing and the first totally fog proof swim goggles I have ever used. A few notes on the "Friendly Swede" models - the black set have dark lenses if you are swimming outside and want some sunlight protection for your eyes, the black set works well. The other pair are totally clear. The side vision is good on both. The straps are comfortable and they fit me perfect right out of the box. Speaking of the box, each pair has it's own carrying hard shell carrying case which is great because my old goggles are scratched up from rattling around loose in my swim bag. The fit was important for me because I have a large, round face and a lot of goggles just don't fit me well. These were perfect. They don't leak, fog up or misbehave in any manner. Overall, a solid purchase at an excellent price and I highly recommend them.

I bought my first set of goggles from The Friendly Swede at the end of November 2015 because they were the right style and price. I initially used the clear pair, which quickly began to lose its anti-fog properties, and then started to get really, really foggy - like abnormally foggy. I swim in a saltwater pool multiple times a week and I always rinse my goggles after a swim - this was after one week of use. So I switched to the black pair, which have remained perfectly non-foggy for the past 4 months. I really love the style and fit of these googles. They are sleek and unobtrusive but they still have a bit of a cushion - they aren't like your typical Swedish goggles (don't be confused - despite the name, these are not the Swedish style of goggle). I really liked how the black pair held up, but I swim indoors and sometimes the lighting is not the best, so a dark color is not ideal. I contacted a Friendly Swede customer service rep, Katie, about placing an order and possibly getting two clear pairs of goggles in my set instead of one clear and one dark. She immediately answered - unfortunately, their goggles automatically come as a set of black and clear - BUT because I explained how my original clear pair seemed faulty, she kindly sent me a new set - so a black and a clear pair - FOR FREE. I couldn't believe it. What a friendly gesture! And, as I expected, the new pair of clear goggles is holding up very nicely. It seems like this company cares about quality and customer satisfaction, and that's rare nowadays. I plan to buy more products from them in the future.

I have only worn them twice so far but they seem to be good quality for the price. I was coming from a pair that had a much larger eyepiece and the smaller eyepiece that these have seem like they will work better over time, as they fit closer in the eye socket and therefore leave less room for leakage. My only complaint was how hard the nose bridge was to change; I was afraid I would break either the nose piece or the lenses themselves. All good but not easy to do in my opinion. Love the company name !!

I bought this set of goggles recently for $16.99 for my son for when he has school offered swim lessons. We have our own pool but he's not a natural born swimmer. To progress in his lessons, he had to jump in the deep end of the pool, which he was scared to do. He told me everyone had goggles & he needed them as well. Its fall & no one had goggles so I ordered these with my 2 day prime membership & it here on time (the day before he needed them). He loves the goggles! He has used goggles from Walmart, Kmart & other chain stores but he has always had a complaint of discomfort or they broke. These are awesome...perfect suction & seal from water, comfortable, several nose pieces for each goggle to adjust for that perfect comfort, doesn't fog, vision clarity is very good, wide range of adjustment. A very nice addition...each pair of goggles come with there own contoured holder. I am saving the other goggles from the set for him for Christmas. Definatley, a happy customer here! P.S. - He is starting to become a natural born swimmer since he started wearing these goggles! They have given him comfort & confidence! Thank you The Friendly Swede Company!

Four stars for the product and the fifth for the customer service. Each pair of these goggles fit well, with no leaks unless I didn't have the straps quite right because of my hair. (Swim cap fixed that right up...) The black pair did seem to just fit better; I can't really articulate it. I did have to change to smaller nose pieces and had very little difficulty doing so with either pair. I was expecting the life of the anti-fog claim to be a bit longer-lived than it was. The black pair lasted three weeks of three @30-minute swims per week before they fogged as soon as I put them on. Disappointed, I responded to Customer Service followup emails from The Friendly Swede, complaining of the loss of anti-fog so quickly. They were friendly and offered suggestions for anti fog products and tricks, but stated that the anti-fog was not guaranteed. They stated that if I tried other methods and still had issues, they would like the goggles back for QC evaluation. I then used the clear pair and had exactly the same experience! Approximately 3 weeks of 3 30-minute swims and I am losing anti-fog properties. I have seen other reviews of the goggles with very similar claims to my own, but have also seen claims of months of anti-fog protection... I would still not hesitate to recommend these goggles or this company to anyone. Just have conservative expectations on the length of the anti-fog treatment.

I would give this item five stars- but one of the pairs is completely missing the silicone cushioning around the hard plastic. Because I had just grabbed one of the pairs and ran off to the pool, I didn't notice the problem until I was already in the water. I thought I would give it a shot without the cushioning, but that was a huge mistake. I did one lap, water seeped in, and I got some pretty great bruising. Moral of the story: Check out the product before bringing it to the pool!

I am a long time swimmer and always looking for the perfect goggle, especially when the ones I wore for years are no longer available. Although I tend to shy away from the "interchangeable nose piece" style, I am a big fan of the type of seal this goggle offers. First, the nose piece; it was fairly easy to change and secures with just a bit of pressure to make the distance between the lenses a perfect fit. Second the rubber seal; not too stiff, not too soft, and combined with the shape of the lens gave excellent visibility and very comfortable around the without pressure points. Third, the strap; I like the double strap as it keeps the goggles in just the right place, and I put one above and one below my ponytail. My final test came in the water...no fog, no leaks, excellent optics, and an hour swim with only a slight ring around my eyes. I'm hooked! Now please don't ever discontinue making these.

questi occhialini della Friendly Swede son fantastici,li utilizzo moltissimo dato che il mio allenamento è molto intenso,2 giorni in piscina e gli altri giorni al mare in solitaria o con istruttore, ma ora passo a parlare un po degli occhialini: BIANCHI ottimi per il nuoto indoor sono consigliatissimi per qualsiasi stile,io li ho provati: stile,dorso,stile testa fuori,rana,delfino e non è entrata neanche una goccia d'acqua,neanche facendo il delfino che è un continuo testa fuori testa dentro,provati anche con i tuffi,in qualsiasi situazione rimangono perfettamente aderenti al viso e non si staccano sia partendo dal bordo piscina che dal trampolino. sono perfetti anche per il nuoto su fondo piscina. le lenti sono antiappanamento,perfetti per chi come me deve sempre tenere d'occhio ciò che ha davanti. NERI perfetti per il nuoto outdoor,le lenti sono scurite il che con il sole estivo è un'ottima cosa,provati con gli stessi stili indicati sopra,non entra un filo d'acqua e rimangono aderenti,provati in un tuffo da motoscafo in movimento sono rimasti fermi e non è entrato nulla,perfetti anche per chi come me sta svolgendo corsi di salvataggio in acqua. ovviamente anche questi sono antiappanamento. questi scuri non sono consigliati se volete realizzare delle foto utilizzando una fotocamera con mirino e non con lo schermo,perché tendono a dare fastidio se avvicinati troppo al mirino,se invece utilizzate una fotocamera con schermo questi occhialini sono perfetti e cosa più importante per un fotografo non modificano molto i colori. CONCLUSIONI in conclusione questi occhialini sono molto comodi,adatti ad ogni stile,secondo me sono anche molto più carini di quelli che spesso si trovano nei negozi e con il prezzo di uno acquistato in negozio,qui ne avete 2 di ottima fattura e qualità. stavo dimenticando di dire che arrivano con custodie rigide e con 4 stanghette per il naso di ricambio. il servizio di the friendly swede è come sempre fantastico e la spedizione come solito di Amazon velocissima

I have waited 2 months to write this review as I have been let down so many times in the past by goggles that have not lasted very long before becoming problematic. This time I wanted to be sure before writing a review that I hope will help others. Firstly, I spend on average around 5 hours a week in the pool so I needed goggles that would exceed the capabilities of past purchases that have repeatedly let me down. Be it poor quality which break far too easily/quickly or ones that are advertised as anti-fogging only for them to lose this feature after a couple of weeks. Secondly, having a broken nose that never healed straight, I find it difficult to find comfortable eye-wear be it glasses or goggles. The last few pairs I have had have left marks on my nose and even taken the skin off which never healed whilst I was still using them. These goggles that I purchased from the Friendly Swede have had extensive use on a daily basis for 2 months now and have given me no problems whatsoever. They are comfortable, they fit well and they still give me as clear vision as they did the first time I put them on with no fogging issues. As a regular swimmer these are the best goggles that I have ever purchased and I would urge anyone to purchase these because you will not be disappointed. I don't think you will find a better pair than these and at such a fantastic price too.

ces lunettes de natation sont vraiment bien. après avoir testé et être deçue par de nombreux produits/marques, les dernières séances en piscine avec celles-ci ont été un vrai régal. pas de buée, une vision claire, stables, faciles à ajuster. je reconnais que changer le pont du nez n'est pas chose aisée, mais on y arrive sans rien casser! en plus le prix est vraiment correct pour 2 paires. très contente de mon achat.

Espectacular! El producto tiene una calidad muy superior a lo que esperaba por el precio. Vienen dos gafas, ligeras, fáciles de poner, con un ajuste estupendo, en las que no entra nada de agua, y no se empañan. Visión muy muy nítida bajo el agua. Lo recomiendo al 200%
