Westinghouse Lighting 5279000 9 Watt (100 Watt Equivalent) A15 Dimmable Clear Filament LED Light Bulb, Medium Base

I wanted a nice bright LED replacement bulb for the overhead fan in my office. Most of these bulbs are 40W or 60W equivalents, but this was rated as a 100W equivalent. It fits fine, has the right color temperature and a suits my need just fine. Also, it was available in single unit quantities so I don’t have to store a bunch of extra bulbs that I’ll probably never need because LED bulbs last so long.

Our kitchen ceiling fan came with two 9watt 60w equivalent LED bulbs, and is limited to 14 watts actual for each socket. That does not really provide adequate light, especially on cloudy days. These bulbs were the logical fit to provide 100w equivalent each and still only drawing 9 watts actual power. That makes them a very good value for the energy expended, and since the were a similar price to others producing less light, that makes the a great value in cost savings. The color of the light emitted is slightly cooler (brighter) than warm white, and the bulbs have the ability to be dimmed.

These bulbs are small enough for smaller fixtures like I have in the laundry room, and at 100 watt equivalent are much brighter. 60 watt equivalent bulb of this size are easy to find locally, but don't provide enough light for me. So I was very glad to find these, although would have preferred the 5000K or 6000K spectrum instead of the 3000K. I didn't do 5 stars since longevity is still in question.

I bought this bulb to backlight a waterfall plaque picture I have. The florescent tube that was originally inside of it had run it's course and it would no longer light up. I removed that florescent tube and the wires attatched to it from the inside of it then I proceeded to wire a standard light bulb socket in it's place and mount it in the upper corner with a bracket and screw. The bulb I put in there first was not bright enough so I bought this one and it is just right. I very much love the fact that LED bulbs consume one tenth the amount oft energy that an incandescent bulb does. And most importantly is the temperature. LED bulbs do not get hot or put out much heat at all making it safe to put inside waterfall picture lamp without risk of fire. That is not possible with an incandescent bulb no matter what wattage it is. The price of this bulb is affordable. Glad that I can buy one by itself without having to purchase a multi-pack when a single bulb is all I need. This bulb is just right. It does the job and does it well.

These are commercial grade. I use these in my own home. Dimmable and will start at the dimmed state. No flicker even when dimmed. Little bit shorter than standard A19. Honest 75 watt equivalent, but I gave away my light meter, so can't measure. 3000K is a great pick for home use. (4100K or 5000K is more for business.) Try a couple of boxes, you will not be sorry.

These A- 15 size bulbs are just what I needed, they fit into the tight space in my bathroom exhaust fan, now it actually lights up the room through the green tinted glass that 60 watt bulbs just can't do, these 100 watt equivalent LED bulbs are great for tight spaces and where a cooler running bulb is preferred and because they're LED they last a very long time and use less electricity than standard incandescent bulbs and give better quality light and longer lifespan than incandescent and CFL bulbs.

Severely misrepresented. Description says "100 Watt Equivalent" when the box says 950 lumens, which is about 65 watt equivalent. A 100 watt incandescent would produce about 1600 lumens.
