Bought for an elderly relative after looking at various similar options and having great pre purchase support from the company answering my questions...pre measured installation space which was tight but adequate..installation and set up was easy and intuitive..excellent software App...the monitor does what is supposed to do..and does it well...Customer support was exceptional...lmam very pleased with the monitor and reccomend it without reservation..Please note it is a monitor and not a shut off switch..so if you forget to turn off stove you get a message and a warning tone on your ipad/iphone..also a soft tone from your stove itself(but because of location and any background noise from vent fan may not always be easy to hear by elderly) but that is why the App is so good because it keeps sending you messages and tones until you turn it off. Would purchase again and am impressed with performance, quality and support!

Although this model does not have a shut off function, it was the best fit for our mom. She is young, but can be forgetful because of a brain hemorrhage three years ago. She likes to cook, but we were uncomfortable with her cooking alone - and SHE was uncomfortable cooking alone. Wallflower allows her independence in meal prep and has made her more confident. The app alert system works well for her because she is never without her iPhone. LOL Other products specifically designed for stoves cost upwards of 400-500. This was exactly what we were looking for.

I purchased this several months ago, with a bit of apprehension due to some of the negative reviews. 5-months later I felt compelled to share my appreciation for this product that has given me and my siblings peace of mind. I put this in my aging mother's home because she has cognitive memory impairment and wants to maintain her independence. The initial set up was fairly simple, however, for some reason it dropped the wifi connection immediately after the first set up and I had to start over. I've had no other problems with the wifi connection and can tell you it has provided reliable notifications every time my mom turns her stove/oven on and off. There is a slight delay from the time the stove is turned off to when the "stove off" notification comes through, but it is dependable and worth every penny. The only drawback is that the device is fairly large and when placed in the space at the bottom of the stove behind the pan drawer, the drawer cannot close all the way. To solve it, we had to remove the drawer and covered the space up. This created some temporary difficulty having to explain and re-explain to my mom why her drawer was removed, but she eventually got over it as a small price to pay for her to maintain her independence safely. Had it not been for this issue, I would've given it 5-stars, but overall feel it is doing what we need most and would highly recommend this to anyone who needs the ability to monitor the safety of a loved one who lives far away.

I got this device early 2020 (3 prong version), for my dad with dementia. It’s a device that does a good job informing me via an app when the stove is turned on.Cons:1) As other reviews have mentioned, it’s bulky so the stove does not flush to the wall. Unfortunately because of this, one of the side cabinet draws cannot be opened for use. I tried finding an extension cord but no luck. I sure wish Wallflower took the other reviewers suggestion to recreate this device as an extension cord design or somehow make it thinner to allow the stove to flush to the wall.2) no shut off stove option. I wish Wallflower or Amazon or any company out there will develop a better device that will allow us to shut the stove off with an app in near future.3) there’s a delay with app to inform me via when the stove is turned off. A lot of times the app will have the stove in the “on” state but in fact it was turned off 15-20 minutes ago.If anyone creates an extension cord or finds one suitable To use with this device, please do share!

The functionality is not what is perceived to be, the only function is to tell you that the stove is on. I was unable to setup the unit with my Samsung S10 had to use some ones iPhone to setup. There is no way to turn off /regulate the stove/oven its on.

Couldn't get it to work though following the directions. Possibly my fault since its ratings seem to be good.

I ordered this for my 93 year old MIL stove. The best purchase I’ve made this year. EASY installation and great piece of mind. Let’s me know when she turns the stove on and when she turns it off. Even has a timer that if the stove is on for a certain amount of time it alerts on my phone.
