Review: Difficult Experience -Questionable Quality - Getting a working unit has been very difficult. First unit shipped didn't work period (electrical issue). Returned to desertcart. Second unit shipped arrived smashed up with dented panels and crushed bottom. Tried to call the vendors customer support line and kept getting voice-mail. The refund for the first return is going to take several weeks, so here I am stuck with a smashed up unit with no help and over 1K tied up in units. That aside, I purchased a unit with a top warming tray. Second unit received is absent the warming tray!! I wanted this to work out so bad I was almost fighting for it but my initial experience has been horrible. Other reviews for Brazilian Flame note similar experiences with damaged product and poor quality control. Awesome concept poorly executed. I will update this post if Brazillian Flame sorts this mess out. Review: likes to blow out in the wind - A friend used this at a family cookout and it turned out great, so I bought one to try out at an event, and the first thing I learned is that is blows out A LOT. If there's a slight breeze, you'll probably be relighting it, so you have to watch the temp gauge, which is seriously frustrating. I cooked a pork shoulder on it for over 2 hours as practice, and had to relight it over half a dozen times. It has been windy though, so I guess if it's a still day, you'd be ok, but good luck planning that out. It also comes with an attachment with 2 extra prongs for one of the skewers. Why only one? Where do I get more? I want more, I need those prongs for half the things I cook, and it looks like a slide on attachment for the skewers. If anyone knows where I can get more let me know, I'll order them. Also, if I let it sit for a few days, the battery bleeds itself dry. Maybe that's a safety feature to preserve the battery health or something, but I found out charging it up a week before a cookout doesn't work, you need to charge it right before you use it. Not a BIG deal, but just a heads up. All in all, it does the job. At max heat I've had it to 350F, 300F if both burners are at low. Charge it up the day before, put it somewhere where the wind can't hit it, and you'll be fine. Getting blown out by the wind is the main reason I'm rating it low, it'd be an easy 4-5 if that wasn't a problem.
