Some of those steps are on a treadmill, but I really like the outdoor routes. Indoors, I have a pair of minimalist walking shoes. They’re wide and thin-soles. They work on the treadmill, which is very forgiving on the joints. The pavement, not so much. So these are my first pair of cushioned walking/running shoes.If you’ve never worn a pair like these, they take a little getting used to. The cushion is very… cushy. The toe and heel are curved for less impact, so the first fee steps, you feel the forward motion.Immediately I noticed a positive difference in my walks. I don’t feel that I have to hold back on my pace. They’re relatively light weight, and I like the way they look. I bought the grey ones, which are perfect, as I plan on getting them pretty dirty. The price was perfect at $60.I’m not a runner, so I can only vouch for brisk walking. These support my weight and my knees. I do not get back pain or foot pain when using them for a run/walk (~1 hour or 3 miles). They are light for my runs. As light as the old Brooks PureCadence, which was the best running shoe ever. I loved these so much, I bought a second pair and will probably buy a third soon since Brooks and Asics are not wearing well on my runs at the moment. Definitely worth the price.
