Hisense HS523E15BUK Slimline 10 Places Free Standing Dishwasher Black with 30 Minutes Quick Wash [Energy Class E]

Purchased as I needed a replacement for my old dishwasher that stopped working. I didn't want to spend too much and this one seemed to fit the bill for a speedy, cost-effective replacement. I've had it three months now and I'm really pleased with it. HIGHLIGHTS... It's super quiet (hardly even notice it's on) / sleek minimal design / digital control panel (in top of door) is really easy to use / cleans well / ...my favourite feature is the cutlery tray at the top, which eliminates the need for a cutlery basket and cleans the cutlery better. There is a slight price to pay for the cutlery tray though - it takes up a couple of inches of vertical space, which means that you need to make a choice between large plates and tall glasses. In order to accommodate plates over 25cm without the spinny-washer-arm-thingy hitting them, you need to move the upper basket higher (there are two heights you can have it at and it's easy to move the basket from one height to another). But that then means you won't get tall glasses in the upper basket. So there's a choice to me made. Personally, I prefer handwashing nice glassware anyway so it's not an issue for me, but it's something to be aware of. There are reviews that mention various problems and error codes, but I've not had any issues in three months, and the manual explains how to deal with any error codes. As for people saying items come out wet, I think that's just something that happens with any dishwasher if you open the door too soon after the cycle has ended. I always leave mine untouched for an hour after it's finished and everything is perfectly dry by then. Performance-wise, everything I put in comes out sparkling clean (I mainly use the 90 min cycle). The colour is a very cool white (almost with a slight grey tinge) so maybe something to bear in mind if you have warm white/cream kitchen units. I don't think you can get better at this price point, and I'm happy to recommend it.

I love it! Makes my life so much more peaceful and less chaotic for disabled people. It’s very quiet and has a compartment at the top for cutlery. It’s perfect for a single Person or a Couple. A moderate was takes 2 hours. I’m so glad I was able to get this at such a good price.

The way it looks is lovely but if you put anything large in front of the tablet dispenser it doesn’t open but the main problem is it doesn’t take standard size dinner plates. The spinning washer catches on them and then it can’t turn and nothing cleans properly. It’s pretty much utterly useless as I’m washing half of my crockery by hand. Really disappointed. Who makes a dishwasher that can’t fit dinner plates.

Bought to replace a 10+ year old Kenwood dishwasher. The Hisence feels a bit “cheaper”, and was much lighter than the Kenwood, so probably explains why so many seem to end up damaged on delivery - mine arrived with a slight dent on the side near the bottom front (presumably from being man handled at the depot). As it was purely cosmetic and can’t be seen when fitted in place I decided to just keep it. It was easy enough to install. The inlet hose isn’t very malleable though - it’s extremely stiff and kinked when I tried to attached it to the Y piece on the cold water feed (had dishwasher & washing machine on same feed). My water feeds are in quite a tight space and no amount of fiddling could get the hose unkinked. Thankfully this dishwasher can be fitted to the hot water feed (which probably explains why the hose is so stiff), so I just put the dishwasher on the hot feed, and the washing machine straight on the cold. Performance wise I have no complaints. Cleans dishes without quibble. The only annoying thing is that the display is on the inside so you can’t see how much time is left on the cycle. The front just has icons showing you which part the wash is on (pre wash, main wash, rinse, dry and finish). I’d personally rather just see the time. Capacity seems on par with my previous dishwasher - if you have any bulky/large dishes/pans it’s easy enough to raise the top draw to compensate. The cutlery draw is ok, although I have kept my old cuttlery holder as it’s easier to get my boys to use that than get them to put their cuttlery into an additional draw (oh the trauma that extra step would cause them!). So no regrets so far with this purchase, it’s just a shame that the condition it arrives in is a bit of a lottery.

So we got this to fill a space, not necessarily that we absolutely needed it. Price was ok, but based on performance, I can’t imagine cheaper ones can’t do the same thing. It’s as expected in terms of the inside, no comment, the programming panel works well, nice and easy to cycle through options. My only concern is I’ve used a couple of different programs now and have yet to have 100% dry pots, not one piece has actually been dry once opened. It’s not the end of the world, but I used the longer cycle and expected at least that the pots were dry! I’ve read the manual and troubleshooting, potentially the way it’s been loaded but I’ve been careful and strategic and still doesn’t dry. Again, not the end of the world but a bit disappointing.

Excellent value for money. All my dishes come out sparkling. I find it easy to use. The separate cutlery tray is a bonus. Delivery was first class. My dishwasher was delivered, fitted and old machine Taken away with no extra charge. No complaints so far.

Whilst it has a super quiet operation, there’s no cutlery basket - instead you have a cutlery tray that you have to place your cutlery in the slots. Way too fiddly. Also - it doesn’t dry as good as the dishwasher it replaced. Our plates catch the top drawer when you open it and whilst you can raise the top basket to counter this, then any tall glasses you have will catch on the cutlery tray. I wouldn’t buy this again.

I purchased this with free unpack,install and removal of old appliance,unfortunately they were not able to install it due to the water outlet hose and the inlet hose on the new appliance both being too short. What a shame that it doesn’t state anywhere on the description that it only comes with a 1.5 metre inlet and outlet hose! My old dishwasher came with a hose that fitted! The dishwasher itself looks nice, however when you open it and pull out the racks they feel flimsy and cheap, they wobble about and make a rattly clunking noise that makes them seem like they won’t last very long. My old Bosch dishwasher was sturdy, it didn’t wobble about when I pulled out the rack. It will do. I have got what I paid for. If I wanted it to be like my old Bosch one I guess I should have spent the extra money. I have noticed that people are saying it isn’t drying the dishes, well I’m not sure if they are using the quick wash because yeh, it doesn’t dry the dishes well, but on the 1 and a half hour wash they come out nice and hot and dry. It’s not that bad, it just isn’t amazing and I don’t like the racks. As a side note though I did want to write about the terrible terrible, rude, lazy, aggressive and unprofessional delivery/ service team but Amazon wouldn’t allow my review. Personally I would definitely recommend that NO ONE pays for this service as it is terrible. One of the guys was foreign and was asking me which position the switch on the wall needed to be , in order to be switched off!
