The one layer of fabric is not see-through but there is no padding. So it depends on how much "coverage" you need.

Does this bra give a smooth look under a thin tee-shirt or can you see the texture of the lace cups. Also, do the lace cups have stretch?

I have a few thin, solid color, plain crew neck shirts where the little bow in the front center looks like a little lumpy thing. So, I have one bra I snipped the little bow off.
