Royal Kludge R65 is honestly a really solid budget mechanical keyboard. The typing feel is surprisingly smooth thanks to the gasket mount and cream switches, and the sound is clean without being overly loud. I also really like the compact 65% layout — it saves desk space while still keeping the arrow keys. The RGB lighting and metal volume knob give it a more premium feel than the price suggests, and QMK/VIA support is a huge bonus if you like customizing keybinds. That said, some users have mentioned occasional software or firmware issues, especially with VIA setup and resets, so it may need a bit of tweaking. Overall, for the price, it’s a great keyboard for gaming and everyday use, especially if you want something that sounds and feels premium without spending a fortune.

This keyboard sounds awesome. It has that deep, satisfying “thock” sound when you type that just feels really nice. For the price, it feels way more high end than I expected. I also really like the volume knob. It’s metal, feels solid, and you can press it to mute sound, which is super handy. I do miss having a number pad, but since the keyboard is smaller it takes up way less space on my desk, so that’s a fair trade. Overall, it’s a great keyboard and totally worth the money.

Picked this up as a gift, and the recipient loves it. Works perfectly on a KVM switch, buttons are responsive, plush and quiet. Volume knob works flawlessly on Windows 10 & 11 out of the box with no drivers. For the price, this is a great keyboard. Heavy enough that it doesn't slide around while not sounding hollow or cheap. The color scheme is perfect and it's a speedy typer. Highly recommended.

Wow, truly one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. The sound of the keyboard is true perfection, and the responsiveness is incomparable to any other keyboard I've tried on the market. The colours are such a vibe and everyone that I have shown this keyboard to immediately gets jealous. One note to bear in mind is that when I say responsive, I mean "very" responsive. I mainly use the keyboard for gaming, so I find that if my finger rests a bit too heavy on one of the "WASD" keys, my character will start walking an unintentional direction because I wasn't paying attention. You have to commit to the button you press - by accident or not. It takes some getting used to, but man is it worth it. The sound and feel of this keyboard is high quality. 10/10

I’ve used this keyboard for around 6 months now, and it’s been absolutely perfect. This specific keyboard format has been a very good balance in between compact and functional. I very much enjoy the color palette of the default keycaps/case, so I’ve just been using those as is. Even after months of near daily use, the keyboard remains sounding solid and smooth, the exact same it did new out of the box. No rattling stabilizers, no loose keycaps or switches, just a reliable keyboard thus far The RGB on this keyboard looks very very nice compared to the old RK keyboard models. The lights are very vibrant and they make the keyboard look full when turned on
