Otherwise it will have lower suction and may auto turn off if you allow the filter to clog too badly. Nice little vaccine for the car and desk. The regular setting is a bit weak, but expected for the small size of the gadget. Amazing vacuum for the car and around the house. I bought this thing a year ago for vacuuming my truck in between cleaning. This vacuum is amazing for vehicles and tight spaces. I am blown away with the power it has. I received one for Christmas and then bought one for a family member. I love the attachments, they work so well. The filter and container are really easy to clean and empty. No more having to drag the shop vac or vacuum with an extension cord to clean, the cordless feature is perfect. It charges perfectly! This is the best car vacuum out there!
