If you have Guinea Pigs, you NEED this liner! No more messes of bedding paper or chips. You will get your money worth and save so much money for other things. Trust me on this. We have three Guinea Pigs and all three of them can burrow in the large burrowing pocket with ease. Super easy to sweep up messes and super absorbent for catching their urine. The urine will not leak through the mat unless you don't change the liner or wash/dry the liner while they are out playing. It can only hold so much before it will start to leak into the cage. I've bought three to switch out weekly. Just shake out any debris before washing in the washer. I highly recommend drying them in the dryer so the excess hair is removed and the fleece liner remains soft. It's chew resistant and very durable. I will say after about 1-2 years (depending upon how many Guinea Pigs you have) you probably want to throw out the liner due to their oil secretions causing the liners to harden in patches and causing white spots that no amount of safely washing can remove without causing issues to your furbabies health and well-being. Super easy to remove and replace. I'm telling you, yes, they are expensive but in the long run, you WILL save money! And your furbabies will be healthier!

This is going to be a little in-depth as far as how the product is and how it works with my cute little guinea pigs Stella and Lola. These are my opinions and what I've experienced after two washes and two weeks of using this product. I love supporting small start-up companies and was looking for something to help me save money on buying bedding consistently. Not only that but my guinea pigs kept sneezing but I always took them to the doctor and there was nothing wrong with them. No upper respiratory no anything. Crazy right? I came across this liner shrugged and said, "why not?" no harm in trying. Bedding normally costs about $40 a month for the large bags that can clean a cage about 4-5 times a month. I buy about two of these per month. Right after buying the product I placed it in the cage after my most recent cage cleaning. First I want to state that my guinea pigs love the little pocket. Aside from chewing on the material because their only a few months and I've noticed they chew on everything no matter what I do to make it not happen. They hide inside of it and rarely use the hutch I have for them to hide in they love it! The box that the liner came in converts into a small little hutch for your piggies. I took their old one out and replaced it with the other they adore that too. What a smart and clever idea! I spot clean often and the liner absorbs rather well. However, the stench of the liner before was interesting and then after the piggies use the bathroom it smelt worse. I noticed after a few washes though this smell goes away a little bit when you hang it up you can still smell the odd smell from the beginning of purchase. A small price to pay for all of the pros of the product overall though. The material is soft on my guinea pigs' feet and they feel so happy when I place it in their cage after washing and spending a night drying. They're always so excited to see it! also, I found out that my guinea pigs could've been allergic to bedding in general because ever since putting the liner in not one sneeze has occurred. Overall, I love this product and it has saved me a lot of money per year. Thank you so much Guinea Dad for making a product that both guinea pigs and their owners love. My friends also think the cage looks super cute with the liner in it compared to some other liners and material on the markets used for guinea pig cages. I support your brand 100% I'm just still trying to figure out the smell and why it holds after washing it. I wash the liner twice a week and spot clean daily. I hope this review helped some of you with this purchase. I don't regret spending the money for this definitely worth it!

I really don't review anything like, ever, but holy crap. I bought two baby guinea pigs about a month ago, after my post-college crisis and needing something to help me through the uncertainty of the future, and my parents told me they'd have to live in my room. At first I was concerned about them making noise at night -- surprisingly, they're quiet all night long, but the smell in the morning is.... far worse, and in my bedroom, no less. The paper bedding wasn't cutting it, and cleaning the huge cage I got for them once a week was EXHAUSTING. I poked around on some guinea pig forums and youtube channels and when I saw these fleece liners everyone was swearing up and down about, I had to see for myself. And let me tell you, they were WELL worth the price I paid for them. For the first time in weeks, my room doesn't smell like a pet store. You can't even tell where they pee. The cleaning twice a day takes literally five minutes. They are without a doubt, probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. My girls really like them too, from what I can tell. SO much less of a mess, but seriously, cannot BELIEVE the difference in smell. I have yet to wash them, but honestly, I have faith that if I follow the directions, they'll be just fine. Everything else about them has been proven to be true. 10/10, would buy again in a heartbeat. UPDATE: Washed them this past week on all the recommended settings for wash. Threw them in the dryer for ten minutes on low heat -- no shrinkage at all, no smell, completely clean. I'm going to buy more in the future. These things are a godsend.

UPDATE: My last review consisted of pre-washing before use. Now I will review the liners after using them for about a month. These are still the best bang for your buck and keeps things neat and tidy. I have two liners and I clean the cage 2x a week. The cleaning of soiled liner is time consuming to "get it right". I take out the liner, shake it outside, use a dust brush to get off excess hay and hair. Then I soak the liner in the washer for a few hours in cold water with a little vinegar and All Clear detergent. Then I wash it on heavy still in cold water with a double rinse and a double spin. I throw it in the dryer for about 120-190 minutes of pure Air Fluff, zero heat setting. Once I take it out it may need an hour in front of the fan to get out any last dampness but usually it is ready to go. Without this thorough washing regimen, I find the liners hold an odor from wash to wash. If I didn't have my own washer and dryer I don't think I would recommend these. Hauling them to the laundromat would be pretty inconvenient. Since I go about 4 days between a liner change, it gives me 4 days to do the wash I prefer on these liners. I have had only the initial shrinkage at the first wash. The liners have stayed the same size since. But again, I don't even use heat in the dryer. Overall I still really like these liners and they've already paid for themselves in the month I've had them compared to the natural paper bedding. And my piggies absolutely love the pocket. I don't know how they lived without it! I just received the two liners I purchased for my two guinea pigs yesterday. I will be putting them in the cage after work. I will review the pre-wash and then review the quality later. Pre-washing was easy. I washed in cold water with vinegar, rinsed twice, spinned twice like the instructions. Then I AIR FLUFF dried for 30 minutes. They were almost dry, and I hung them up overnight to finish. This morning, dry as a bone and ready to go. I am not going to use any heat on these, just air fluff. I might be able to air fluff dry longer than 30 minutes but I thought I'd try this for now. I will pay attention to any shrinkage. I think zero heat and just drying this way may be best, but we shall see! Nice, heavy liners. Very excited to see how they work because I like to keep the cage really clean and I was spending $100 a month or more on natural paper bedding! If they work, they will pay for themselves in a month.

We bought this after coming across the YT channel, and we thought, we’ll give it a shot. They say it’s absorbent and that it should work better than what we had, we just got our Guineas a month ago and we are still doing a ton of research. Best case scenario it works great, worse case we spent money on a useless blanket. Welp, it has been best case scenario. The guineadad has been wonderful. It’s soft and absorbent, as described, and we have a leaky water dispenser and we haven’t had any water get through it, and we have no worries of urine getting into our carpet. We have used wood chips, which stink and aren’t great, paper, which absorbs, but gets gross fast, and some other brand of mat, and it leaks. We are thankful we made this purchase so early. We have washed our guineadad 3 times and followed the directions very meticulously, and so far it has been cleaned and doesn’t smell. I was a little worried when I saw others with different results, but so far, we are having great results. We are pretty sure our guineas love it, except for the actual cover sack area (which makes me a little sad), but the box that comes with the blanket has east push out areas and the Guineas love that to. We can tell our guineas enjoy the blanket because after we clean and reinstall it. They do what we are calling binkies (or what bunnies do when they’re happy), and zoomies. Overall, we have been pleased with the absorbency of the blanket, the aesthetic, and feel. What more could we want… maybe a 2nd one, which we will be ordering, probably in the next few days. They are costly up front, especially when compared to alternatives, but if this lasts for 1 year we’ll more than make our money back.

We've had Guinea Pigs for over two years now and I've despised the messy shavings and constant smell, despite diligently cleaning the cage daily. I had heard that fleece had become a popular small animal cage liner so I was really happy to find this product, pre-made and ready to go (vs making my own, which has mixed reviews from what I've researched). PROS: 1. SO much cleaner than shavings. I still sweep daily but only to pick up hay. We had friends over last month and one commented that the room where the Guinea Pigs were kept looked like a petting zoo. I went in and found shavings ALL over the floor, despite having just swept before the guest's arrival. As a clean person, I was mortified. This was what really started my search for something better. I really like that when the pigs scramble, shavings aren't scattered all over the room. And when my kids pick them up they don't drag shavings all over the house as they carry them. 2. SO easy to clean. Per the instructions, I simply remove everything from the cage and dump the entire contents of the liner into a trash can. I also take the liner outside and give it a good shake to loosen all of the hay and broken pieces of droppings that remain. The instructions recommend changing/laundering the liner weekly. I've found that I need to do this every four to five days because of odor (see below). I give it a quick vacuum, soak it in my utility sink for a few hours and throw it in the wash. I bought two sets for each cage to allow a quick swap and give the liners time to air dry fully before being used again. I haven't had any issues with shrinking so far while following the manufacturers recommendations for cleaning. 3. Much cozier then shavings. My guineas just seem comfier with this new footing whereas with shavings, even when bedded deep (which added to the mess on the floor), they managed to scramble through and find the flooring of the cage. CONS: 1. Not a perfect answer to the odor issue. After a day or two I begin to notice the faint smell of urine. It's not anywhere near the smell that would come from one missed day of shavings cleaning but the room doesn't smell like roses. Some of this might be because our bunny has someone found a way to pee in the corner of his cage where the urine somehow manages to get behind and under the corner of the liner. This results in a little puddle of urine under the pad which would obviously smell. As I mentioned above, I could not handle going a full week before changing the pad, as the manufacture recommends. I change them every four to five days and find this keeps the smell at a minimum. 2. The Guinea Pigs' cage looks yucky unless cleaned several times each day. With shavings, much of the droppings would hide in the shavings. With the liner, everything is out there to see and they poop a lot. I find that I clean the cage thoroughly at least once daily, if not twice, and spot clean in between. Otherwise I feel like they're living in a cage full of poop (which they kind of are). Our bunny uses his litter box for much of his pottying so his cage never looks yucky. Would absolutely recommend for bunnies, particularly if they were potty trained. And I hear that some Guinea Pigs will potty train, which would be amazing, resulting in this liner being the absolute perfect solution. Already have four of these and feel they were a great investment, despite the high price. They aren't perfect but they're really great!

I love these liners and so does my pig! I originally bought one of these and one of another brand that had similar ratings and reviews to see which one we liked/worked better. I got them to use with the Midwest cage, and had been using paper bedding prior to receiving them. This liner definitely came out on top as the winner. They are super absorbent and don't really smell. I love the waterproof bottom that helps protect the canvas bottom of the Midwest cage. The box that they come in turns in to a house for the pigs, which my little guy loves to chomp on. The pocket is perfect for burrowing and my pig sleeps under the pocket every night. The first one I bought has shrunk a little, but fits the cage perfectly. I recently ordered another one, and it has a little extra room on all the sides. I switch the liners out about once a week, and do spot cleaning with a little broom and dustpan in between. Some tips/reminders for care: 1. Upon first receiving the liner, wash it before using it, in COLD water. I washed both of mine twice before using them the first time and that worked great. 2. Do not use any fabric softener or dryer sheets. 3. Use the heavy duty or bedding setting - I use heavy duty and also an extra rinse. You can use distilled white vinegar to help with any smells. I normally throw some into the bleach compartment. 4. If you put them in the dryer, only use LOW heat and only do one cycle. I normally do one cycle about 20 minutes and then pull it out and let it air dry the rest of the way. Heat will shrink the liner so the more it is exposed, the smaller it will get! So glad I decided to purchase this Guineadad liner. I was a little thrown off by the price, but they are definitely worth it. Will continue to purchase and use them for our pig!

Guinea boys love the hidey spot!! Hands down the BEST guinea cage padding ever. I switched to Guinea Dad pads after a year of having guinea pigs. I tried everything that 1st year. These changed the game! They absorbed well, kept smell down, and were cozy for my boys. If you shake them out really well, and wash as directed, they did well in washer and dryer and I had a lot less "mess" floating around my washer. Also, their hay from their website is 1000% amazing too!

Best Guinea pig pad I have used. Other pads just don’t compare I say. My two guineas love it:)

Le produit est un peu cher mais il est vraiment génial. J'ai pris 2 couvertures 1x2 et 2 couvertures 2x4. J'ai sous les couvertures un bac plastique pour ne pas abimer le sol.Je les utilise vraiment pour le principe parce que je les ai. Dans l'absolu ce ne sera pas nécessaire, tellement les couvertures sont efficaces. Elles absorbent parfaitement et le dessus est à peine humide, même en renversant par accident la gamelle d'eau. Le dessous ne laisse rien passer. Pour les laver, elles passent en machine sur un cycle de lavage à la main avec du vinaigre. Comme elles sont super absorbantes, il est possible de passer un coup d'aspirateur dessus avant de les passer en machine pour enlever les poils et le foin avec la brosse à tissu de l'aspirateur. Attention par contre pour les faire sécher car elles vont se gorger d'eau en machine et une fois étendues, l'eau va faire des flaques dessous. Il faut bien les essorer avant ou les étendre là ou ça ne craint rien.
