These bowls were perfect for the fresh shrimp cocktail we served on Christmas Eve. They kept the shrimp and sauce ice cold all evening. We also bought the smaller bowl and it performed just as well. We will use these for all gatherings and parties all year. Filled with water and will store in the freezer. We have not tried them using hot water, so I can’t review on that.

This is a great bowl for a dish that needs to stay cold. I bright my spinach dip to a park party and it kept the dip cold despite the hot weather. I wish I bought the larger size

Awesome idea especially for tailgating and camping

The bowls did exactly what they were supposed to do!! They kept my chicken salad and spinach dip nice and cold for hours, and were still cold when I put the food away. They are a nice quality stainless steel with a rubber base to prevent sliding while serving. They were very easy to fill with water and freeze. Some other reviews commented on the little caps to seal the water were inadequate or easy to lose, however I found no issues with them. I found that they firmly snapped into the bowl to seal. I then sat the bowls flatly into my freezer over night before filling them with food the following day. The caps are tiny, but they give extras in case you do happen to lose them. This was a great find as I always worry about food safety. I am sure they would work just as well if you pour boiling water in the cavity to keep food hot, however I have not tried that yet.

Great idea, however first time using with fruit in bowls - all the fruit stuck to the sides! What a mess trying to unstick frozen fruit to the sides. Didn’t use again, but will try again this summer.
