In direct sun light it works really well the water has been getting to 25cm when in full sunlight and the temp is hitting 30 degrees. Even in the shade it is trying to work. I had Purple Sulfur Bacteria in the pond and it has sorted that out. The weed is because I had to fill the pond with tap water. Even that is getting better The video was taken at 10.24 06.07.2026

This little pump is fantastic. It evens works in cloudy weather!! So good, my brother wants one. The anchorage feature is great, a far better one than our last pump and no electrics needed. What's not to like.

When in full sunshine it produces a foot high fountain but the foam filter on the pump blocks up quickly and the fountain head nozzles too require frequent cleaning. There is no battery or any form of stay-alive so as soon as any shade covers it, the pump stops.

Good in the sun. Utterly useless on a cloudy day. I had a cheap one before which would still work unless it was almost dark but the panels became clouded over time. I thought this more expensive one with glass panels would be better. Unfortunately not My suggestion would be to get something with a bigger panel and a battery

For a small Pump it is really good very pleased glad I found it and bought this water pump fish love it too

If it’s got direct sun, it’s brilliant. However, even on a bright day it struggles to cough up some water and seems to spurt intermittently making the dog jump each time. The packaging said it’s been designed for British weather, but even on a bright day in partial shade it’s quite sad. I can’t imagine it’ll be much good for 90% of the year. The material quality is good and the accessories with it… but I got to say I'm disappointed. My choice to spend a little more money for something better didn’t work out this time.

Good price. Neat looking and what it lacks in size, it makes up in power. Easy to assemble and use. It doesn't store energy so the day has to be reasonably bright for it to work (it won't work in shade), but as my photos and video show it doesn't have to be inordinately sunny to get a strong flow of water. Quick delivery too!

I had to return this, unfortunately. The kit comes with lots of fittings to create different water effects. The flow it produces is impressive, but did make me realise it'll probably empty all water out of the pond. I found a way to stop that but do research the power before buying - the water can reach a good height and the wind directed enough water away for me to have to refill the pond. Other than my word of warning about more power doesn't mean better, my fault with this product is that it works amazingly in pure sun. Luckily the weather let me see it's potential, but if there is no direct sun then it spits water about 1cm every 10 seconds and creates an amazingly annoying spitting noise that will make you want to put it away. I replaced this with one that has a solar panel and a battery built in. The solar panel can be placed where it has the best chance of sunlight and the battery prevents it from the annoying intermittent spit. Other than it not being designed for uk weather, the kit itself is really good and I'm disappointed to have to return it. I hope some improvements with it's ability to function in cloudy weather can be made and I'd be interested in buying. Even if it stayed off until a battery was charged. The noise of it failing to eject enough water was torture whilst sitting in the garden

This is working extremely well. With fountain attachments removed, the water still agitates but does not spray over the sides of a bird bath. This design is much better than cheaper plastic versions which cloud over in a little time and stop working. A good feature is the attached bag which can be filled with rocks to anchor the fountain in the centre of a bird bath.
