This heavy duty clay bar really does the job. It’s super effective on my car. I usually park my car on the street and hadn’t clean in about 6 months due to the pandemic, yet it only took 2-3 swipes to remove any rough debris, while other brands like “Mothers” that I’ve used in the pass takes 6-10+ Swipes on the same spot to do the same. Initially when I bought the clay bar I forgot about it, and just found it again after 5 moths since I purchased it. The clay bar is still pretty fresh even after all this time. I was amazed because all my other clay bar would dry up in a couple months. Unlike the other reviews, the piece of plastic wrap that prevent it from sticking to the box was really easy remove. Can’t imagine how people are dumb enough to actually clay their car with the plastic on and scratching their car. However, the chemical guys luber leaves a mess. After claying down my car, I notice my entire palm turned blue because of the dye in the luber, and even after 12 hours and 17 hand washes my palm is still very noticeably blue. So this had me worry, I quickly rinsed and wiped down the car one more time and confirm it doesn’t leave a stain on the car. The luber also feel like it dries up a bit faster than other brands, but this can easily be overcome by more frequent sprays with less amount. If you don’t mind your hand looking like you’re from the movie Avatar then by all means go for the lube. Otherwise I would only stick with their clay bar.

I’m a novice at caring for my car’s exterior so I watched several Chemical Guy’s videos and learned to prep the car for polishing it which includes claying the car. I used this heavy duty clay kit and after using it, the car felt smooth! It was time consuming and my arm and elbow were sore as heck afterwards, but so worth it.

Works amazing!!

First the good: Removed 14 years of contamination from the paint, easy to use and great product. Now the bad: The clay bars come wrapped in a plastic wrap that is extremely difficult to remove. Not sure if the clay was old or what. I had to physically scrape the plastic off in pieces. This wasted a half hour of my life and a small portion of product that remained stuck to the plastic. Time is precious when trying to beat the sun. (Want to give 5 stars, but my time is valuable and a small portion of the product was wasted). Otherwise, great product and made the paint smooth as glass. Steps: Washed, Clay, Polish, and Wax = Awesome!

My husband already thinks I can't drive so the last thing I wanted was evidence to possibly prove him right. So... after my car was wrongfully assaulted by one of those flexible street mounted crosswalk signs I had to find a way to remove the marks on my fender that was both cheap and easy. This stuff was a God-send. I showed ChatGPT a picture of the damage, it recommended a clay car bar, I found this on Amazon, watched a video of how to use it and VIOLA!!! All incriminating evidence is gone. I HIGHLY recommend this product!! Now, remember this, patience and persistence are key. Good luck!!

I purchased this clay bar last night and used it today. It was my first time using a clay bar on my car. Thoughts? It works great but can also be tricky. You can immediately notice how much smoother your paint is after using it. HUGE difference. The only problem I ran into today was the fact it was 80 degrees and sunny. I didn’t have access to a garage. With that being said, no matter how wet I kept it with the clay lubber (used almost the whole bottle), the clay appeared to bake on/leave marks on 3 major areas. I was moving at a good pace too. I eventually grabbed a pop up tent and got some shade. I also used their VVS scratch remover and buffing pads on my buffer. That got the remaining clay/marks off. (I was already planning on buffing it.) In the end it turned out pretty darn good. Notes: Take your time. Keep the surface wet. Do it in the shade or on a moderate temp day with cloud cover.

This was my first time using a clay bar. I have a 2007 Silverado that hasn’t been hand waxed in at least 4-5 years. On top of that I got some stain overspray on the truck over a year ago. I first bought a clay bar from mcguiars. I ended up bringing that back because it didn’t do hardly anything when I tried it out. So I didn’t have much hope when I ordered this product as a last ditch effort. This stuff is AMAZING! I don’t even know how it works but it works. Took all the stain overspray right off without all that much effort. After wiping everything off it really did feel like glass. Now I’m working on polishing and hand waxing it and the paint looks brand new considering it is 12+ years old. I did learn you don’t have to use as much of the lube spray as I was thinking. I also read a review where the user suggested using some gloves. If you care much about that I’d suggest to because it does leave your hands a little blue. Only thing I regret is not buying the polish and wax from chemical guys because if it’s as good as the clay bar then I’m missing out. Again I wouldn’t buy from anyone else again!

Wish the product had came with a little bigger clay bar and detailed instructions besides just spray solution first and go over with clay bar in this direction. Had to go searching online to see if car needs washed before, if can use if cars still wet or not, and details that would be helpful for those who arent pros. My car gets alot of sun and hotter then most places ive been in sun at but live on the side of mountain and everyone else sits below me so might be why..got this because noticed some spots that my paint/seal was either starting to come off or close to it. My hood still had clear coat so tried to save it first, ive noticed if your just looking for that shine added, it works great. But so far any actual damaged spots, it has done notta for me and even went over them more then once. Had an arbor that the wind blew over and it fell over onto my car, didnt dent just scuffed paint off onto my car and it hasnt taken off a tiny spec of it after probably 4 attempts now. I used another brands product b4 this and it left little scratches on my car, not deep ones though, and it didnt help them either. Hoped itd atleast remove the little clear pieces where my clear coat did start coming off or atleast smooth it out but once again no luck. So for shine, id give it 4 stars but anything else, I'd give it 2 stars being pretty generous

Compre la version de barra pesada que es la de color negro , la cual junto con el liquido me ayudo a remover pintura y yeso que habia en la pintura de mi carro , puedo recomendarlo perfectamente ya que limpio totalmente la pintura en los puntos afectados y sin ningun problema. En la imagen que muestro , solo utilice un pedazo de la barra por lo cual me sobro para realizar limpiezas a futuro , aclaro no es el tamaño completo de la barra que viene , es solo un pedazo y lo puedo recomendar

I picked this kit up to remove some horrible rust stains and debris from the paint of my half million KM farm jeep. I didn't think this would even make a difference but I was able to completely remove all traces and imperfections. Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone.
