worth the price for premium ramen
One of the best ramen kits you can order. Broth has a ton of flavor. Not a powder mix broth, but actual packets of flavorful broth. Noodles were light not heavy or thick, but they absorb the broth very nicely. Noodles soak up the flavorful broth, and enhances the flavor. Very good ramen kit. I wish it was a bit cheaper, but still worth the price for premium ramen.

Wow!
This is no joke the best make at home ramen. Better than I've had at some restaurants. Yeah it's more expensive, but it's really worth every penny. Truly a case of you get what you pay for. I like pairing it with smoked pulled pork from Trader Joe's- not the traditional ramen cut of meat, but the smokiness really compliments the broth.

Overall 4.4/5. Best ramen soup you can buy.
I've eaten this stuff BEFORE it ever hit Amazon, and you had to buy it off of a specialty Asian-cuisine app. Overall, GREAT flavor. If you love sipping the broth, THIS is the broth to sip. It beats ANY other pork-flavored ramen in the world. As for cooking it, I've TRIED to do it in the Microwave, in a special bowl, but I over cooked it. Personally, I think cooking this ramen in a pot with boiling water is the best way. As for the SPICY factor... meh. Some say it's "really spicy", but as someone who adds black pepper and cayenne pepper to almost everything I cook (not soup lol), I say it's only MEDIUM spicy. Even with adding a FULL packet of the spice mix. Overall... Noodle Quality: 4/5 Broth Taste: 4.5+/5 Spice Flavor: 3.5/5 No matter what.. it's probably the BEST ramen soup (overall) you can buy. Most ramen noodle quality is CRAP, and most have sub-par taste before adding any spice mix. Sure, SOME may be spicier in general... but that's not the end-all, be-all for me.

Review for Ichiran Take-Home Ramen Kit
This is a very good and high-quality product. The noodles are fresh, the broth concentrate is rich and flavorful, and the spicy seasoning packs add a nice customizable kick. It truly brings the authentic Ichiran experience to your home, delivering a taste that’s both fresh and satisfying. However, the kit is undeniably pricey considering its simple contents: just noodles, broth concentrate, and spicy seasoning. For the current price, it feels steep, especially when you consider that a standard Ichiran bowl in Japan—complete with all ingredients and fully prepared—costs around $7, and a larger portion is around $9. If the price of this kit were reduced to about $15 to $20, it would feel more fairly priced and accessible. Ichiran’s quality and brand reputation are top-notch, but it would be even greater if this high quality could reach more customers at a fair price. Every potential customer deserves the experience and quality that Ichiran delivers.

Great Ramen
I live in the metro area, and there are actually two Ichiran locations in New York that I’ve been to, both were consistently great. But realistically, I can’t go to the restaurant every time I’m craving ramen, so I decided to try this take-home kit. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations. The flavor is very close to what you get in-store: rich, creamy, and deeply satisfying, with that signature tonkotsu depth that’s hard to replicate. It really captures that authentic Ichiran taste, which surprised me for a packaged product. The noodles have a nice texture when cooked properly, firm with just the right chew, and they pair really well with the broth. Everything feels thoughtfully packaged, and it doesn’t come across like a generic instant ramen at all. That said, you absolutely have to follow the instructions carefully, especially when it comes to the broth. The water ratio matters more than you’d think. I learned that the hard way, added too much water the first time and ended up with a very bland, watered-down soup. Once I followed the exact measurements, the flavor came through perfectly. Overall, this is a great option if you want a convenient way to enjoy authentic ramen at home without sacrificing too much quality. Definitely recommended for anyone who loves Ichiran but can’t always make the trip into the city.

Not worth it unless you don't have access to ramen
This is a decent ramen that is on par with a serviceable-to-good restaurant ramen--probably about 6 or 7 of 10. I wouldn't say it's worth $10 a bowl, since it doesn't come with everything else you need: veggies, pork, mushrooms. It makes a 2-cup bowl of ramen in about 5-7 minutes. The portion alone isn't enough for a full meal for 1 person. It includes spice. If you live in a metropolitan area, you can get a much better bowl of ramen for about $18 (e.g. Furious Spoon in Chicago). If you're in the middle of nowhere, or you're in a zombie apocalypse and you're somehow reading a printout of this review, then this works to scratch that itch. Ichiban does too.
