Circle of Isis: Ancient Egyptian Magic for Modern Witches

I absolutely love this book from cover to cover! I have been searching for a specific path of paganism that fit my needs and beliefs and had not yet found it. I asked a friend of mine if he could recommend a book and he asked what deities I followed, which I honestly only had a vague idea and none named to me. I had always had a pull to ancient egypt, for as long as I could remember, and had various dreams about it. He suggested this book and from the moment I started reading it I felt a connection that I have never felt before. Each Lord and Lady resonated, each belief, each tradition. It spoke to me and I instantly began putting these aspects into my craft and already I feel renewed and so much more serene. I highly recommend this book to any who are searching, even if this path isn't for you, its an excellently written read. Ellen Cannon Reed incorporates Ancient Egyptian Gods and Goddesses into modern paganism. With tutorials on how to make a Tameran wand, divination techniques specific to these Lords and Ladies, how to meditate with Them and build a loving and personal relationship with Them, and rich information on SEVERAL of Them in relation to the story of Asar and Aset. My life is better for reading this book and I am now taking what I have learned and making it my own, which I encourage always. Brilliant. Blessed Be!

This is one of my favorite books for my personal Pagan path. I've ordered this book a few times since my copies get used often. This is Egyptian based, but it is based on their own personal experiences. When following their outlines or the suggested rituals etc in this book you may have a different experience and feel a different personality from the deity you are working with. I will add that when I showed a friend the recipe for the Honey Mead in here she said that it has to be strained very well or it could make someone sick. I haven't researched this for myself but wanted to make others aware of the possibility.

I enjoyed this book because it was a new voice from someone actually working with the Egyptian deities. Most books are academic in nature, describing how the author(s) believe the deities were worshipped in the past, and what attributes these beings were believed to have. Rarely do we hear from those who actually work with the deities and how they have come to know these deities. Not only do we hear about the deities from the perspective of one who worships them, but we also receive information on how to connect with these beings and a whole section of the book with prayers, chants and meditations to the deities discussed.

i love Isis the Queen of all healing an how she loves her husband an son the perfumes,scents that they uses are so sweet an interesting at the same time so very cool too i would most sure that I'll be getting mores books, an anything else from here an the Author is awesome too

My favorite Egyption goddess is Isis and I knew very little about the other goddesses worshiped in Egypt. It s open my eyes to the wonderful goddesses and their power to help us though our life on this earthly plane. I found this book very interesting, especialy the duties each of these deities had and the influencene women had in Egypt. I have really enjoyed this book,

It was a little like sitting with a friend, and she's telling you about a really fascinating topic that you both have an interest in. I looked her up after reading this, only to discover she passed away. :(

I've read this book a few years ago in the car with my family and children. Inspite of the many distractions, I was transported to a higher state of consciousness and had a very intense vision of the goddess Tefnut which lasted two hours. I have referred back over and over to this book over the years and now also downloaded it on kindle to have it with me anytime.

This book is amazing, a friend recommended it an it couldn't have been better, it's so heart felt and well written. Anyone with even the slightest interest in Egyptian Gods and Goddesses should give this a read.

An excellent book i love it and refer to it time and time again. A must for all interested in egyptian mythology.
