Fun kit to build
It was a very nice kit - pieces fit well and instructions were clear. I took some liberties with the painting instructions to make certain items stand out more. The deck plating with the mast does not need to be glued on and that makes it possible to view some details inside of the boat.

One of revels newer kits
I built the original PT 109 from the sixtys. This kit is much better. Details taken to the next level.

Fun
This model is fun, but there are a few issues. For example, some parts tend to break easy, making them difficult to work with. The model is decent in size for the money, but assembly is tricky. Overall however, it looks good for the issues with assembly. Over all, a lot of fun.

Son of a Sailor
The model was fortunate to arrive in just 280 pieces, instead of a million pieces LOL. The box it came in delivered was obliterated. Once again, I was lucky none of the plastic pieces in the box were damaged. Other than that, it was fun to assemble. If you like putting models together. I have ever since I was young lad. Me father was in the Royal Navy you see. I grew up putting WW II plastic models of numerous types together. It's a creative way to pass the time. Ye lads and lassies tell me what ye thinkest.

but so far the kit's detail is good, as well as the fit of the parts
New tool kit from Revell Germany, not to be confused by the old Revell kit from the sixties, which is still available. I haven't finished building mine, but so far the kit's detail is good, as well as the fit of the parts. Many details were added that are not available in the older kit, mainly the 37mm anti-tank gun Kennedy put on his boat.

A very good product
This would have been an even better product if the seller had packaged it for it's journey. The box arrived mashed, and partially torn open. The kit box was partially flattened. I have not, as yet been able to determine if any of the actual model pieces have been damaged. On the positive side, the instructions are something to write about. Detailed, and very clear. I anticipate not problems following them. I am glad I did not order glue with this order. It would have been all over both boxes and the model itself.

Great Old Model of the PT-109
This was a birthday gift to my grandson to help him learn more about WWII history and important events. A good model that I have built before. With some care and a few extras this can be a great display. Fun to build.

Amazon sells damaged goods delivered by speed demons looking to run over children.
I am considering canceling my Amazon account after this Incident. Amazon packaged and sold me a damaged product in a perfectly unblemished delivery box. Note the crushed box and internal damage in the photos. But that’s not the worst of it. To my horror and disbelief I witnessed the shiny white subcontracted delivery van breaking the sound barrier down my court and pulling INTO and UP my driveway SO ABRUPT AND FAST he clipped my curb, hopped my lawn and left skid marks from the steer tires cutting such a fast and hard turn. He had to have entered my driveway at 40km/h. I was making dinner in the kitchen and could not believe what I saw out my window. Prime member delivery should not be breaking traffic laws and endangering the little children on my street. Tire tracks in my lawn and tire marks into my driveway to deliver a damaged model boat kit is ridiculous!!! ***ZERO STARS IS DIRECTLY CENTRED AT AMAZON AND ITS PROCESSING.*** REVEL MAKES QUALITY MODEL KITS. I have never had an issue with one in the 30 years I’ve known them. For people considering this kit please note the hull of the ship comes in several pieces; I was under the impression from the photos it was a one piece casting. 146 parts. 34.1cm length. 1/72 scale. Skill level 4 out of 5 makes sense because of the multi piece hull. Their product and reputation are being hurt by bad business. Something I would not have experienced from a brick and mortar storefront.

Flawed instructions
I haven't yet applied the decals, but I think I can say a thing or two about this one now. I went for Lt. JFK's version and used Tamiya's TS-33 and XF-81 on the hull, as well as a light rust wash by Mig, which all worked out pretty well. But all of that is thanks to other brands than Revell... There are two parts in the kit that seem to screw up other parts of the construction; if I place parts B26 and B27 (step 24) as I think they indicated, then you'll probably run into problems in step 27 through 32. I ended up cutting off a part of B26 and leaving B27 out. Also, there are a few steps around this part of the instructions that would have been easier to follow if they had added a picture from a different angle, like Tamiya often does. I suppose that's too much to ask. All of that is not such a huge problem though. However, I believe that the ropes (added in the final step) really finish the kit. But... how on earth am I supposed to run them through the hull as indicated in the final step? If you look at Revell's own pictures, they seem to have drilled some holes, but I have no idea how to run it through one end, and then have it come out on the other end. Maybe you can just cut up the rope and superglue the ends to the hull, but that seems quite risky in terms of glue residue. So I ended up not applying the ropes. Too bad. I think Revell should have put some more effort into the instructions.
