Our pre-printed scenery sheets make it easy to add scenic details to your model train layout. They allow you to quickly and inexpensively add backgrounds, roads, water, ground cover, retaining walls, rock faces, mountain areas and other scenes. The brick, metal and roofing sheets allow you to create paper-based structures on your layout for a fraction of the cost of plastic building kits. Each sheet is 8.5" x 11", and professionally printed using four color processing on 80# heavy stock gloss paper. Beware of cheap imitations printed on ink jets or image files that you have to print yourself. Scenery sheets also provide a way to cover larger areas and establish a base or underlayment for your detail work. For example, you can cover a mountain with our scenery sheets and then enhance it with lichen or other textured material or use brick sheets to quickly create a wall and then enhance it with weathering and signage. Our goal is to provide you with a way to give your train layout or holiday display a photo-realistic look without the time and expensive involved in high-rail modeling. Even if you plan to do heavier work with plaster or castings later, scenery sheets can temporarily give your layout a more finished look until you have a chance (and the funds) to put in heavier materials. Each scenery sheet is created from actual photos with subtle colors and shadows. When creating the sheets, we maintain the realistic look of the original photography while modifying it enough to allow for tiling. Several scenery sheets can be laid end to end or overlapped to cover a larger area without seams or an obvious pattern.
