It’s waterproof, but the liquid will seep though eventually if not cleaned up fairly promptly. And…it’s waterproof exactly like that picture with the droplets sitting on top. It takes a while to absorb the liquids…so if your mobility challenged pet is laying there, they’ll be laying in a puddle for a while. It wicks the liquid around the surface. Only once I found my dog covered in pee from shoulder down because the liquid runs over the surface of the blanket. Still is waterproof as advertised, and serves a purpose.
