Best tool that I have used for teaching this skill!

Great teaching tool. 3 toddlers learned how to tie their shoes. Ages 6,5,3

Very fun book

Bought this for a 6 year old to learn on - in general, the book is great. Kiddo was successfully tying the 'shoes' within the hour, but it's difficult to translate over to an actual shoe that doesn't have different colored laces on each side. In the end, we took a shoelace out of one of his shoes and had him practice with that laced through the book. The book goes on to do some pretty complicated shoe tying - we haven't gone past 'page' 3, which is the basic bow. Probably could have done it without the book, but initially, the different colored laces, the flat book, and the long, brand new laces are probably a huge reason why he was doing so well with it. He's since been successful with tying his own shoelace through the book, but we're still working to take these skills over to the shoe. Overall, would absolutely suggest this book.
