I thought this insulin bottle would be great to take on longer trips. What I received is a thermos bottle that is large, cumbersome and heavy. One of the inserts is a gel pack that needs to be frozen, which I certainly to not have while traveling. If I were to try to use it without the freezer pack, it would not have enough longevity. Additionally it will hold only 3 pens. For a type 1 diabetic on a longer trip that is not enough. Overall, this will not be a good replacement for the cold water activated gel packs I currently use.

Totally worth it!
Excellent for pens or insulin. I like how cool it kept the meds and the design was perfect. Mine never gets stopped at TSA. Our other insulten holder always gets checked. We liked it so much we bought 2 and then had a family member buy 1 too. If you have to keep medicine cool, this is for you.
