Excellent little adapter that does exactly what it’s supposed to. I bought this to work around the 1Gb limitation on my HP dock and it worked perfectly — instantly giving me a 2.5Gb ethernet connection over USB-C with no fuss. Setup was basically plug-and-play and it was recognised immediately. The build quality feels solid and the adapter stays stable even under heavy network use. Speeds have been consistent and it’s been completely reliable so far. It’s also tiny enough to throw in a bag without worrying about it, which is a nice bonus. As someone who runs a bit of a home lab, it’s great finding a simple solution that unlocks extra performance without replacing half your hardware. This little adapter basically tricked my dock into behaving like a 2.5Gb device — and I’m very happy it did. Great value and highly recommended if you need faster ethernet from a USB-C port.

Been using the TP-Link Archer TX20U and honestly it’s been very good so far. Setup was quick, just plugged it in and installed the drivers, no hassle. Connection has been stable and noticeably faster compared to my old adapter. WiFi signal strength is solid even when I’m not right next to the router. I’ve used it for work, streaming, and gaming and it’s been consistent with no random dropouts or lag spikes. It also doesn’t overheat or feel like it’s struggling, even with long use. Overall, really happy with it. Simple plug-and-play adapter that just works well without any issues.

This device improved the quality of my internet connection considerably. The issue I had been experiencing was caused by the Intel WiFi chipset within my laptop, I'll not get into the technicalities here but having been frustrated by momentary connection dropouts between my router and laptop as was confirmed by the router logs, I purchased one of these and voilà, no more dropouts. Installation couldn't be easier, the drivers appear as if on a phantom CD-ROM built into the device, once installed the phantom CD-ROM disappears. The connection over WiFi to my router is now rock solid, my router logs show not a single hiccup since installing it. I'm extremely pleased with it, and at this price it's a great value piece of kit.

To be honest, I was on the verge of returning this to Amazon - it seemed very unstable and kept dropping the connection. Luckily I persisted and discovered that when I re-boot my computer the TX50 can take two or three minutes to negotiate the best connection. (There are some obstructions between this and my router) During this time, the connection can drop a few times. But once the stable connection has been established it is fast, rock solid and never fails. Happy to recommend.

When i first got this device it was working very well. Reaching 900mbps constantly, the limit of my network speed. It worked so well i bought a second device. For 12 months i've had no problems at all. Now however, for the last week both devices seem to have been capped at 300mpbs with frequent 5-10 second drops in performance. If it was one device it was happening, i'm put it down to a fault. As both of them started doing it at exactly the same time I can only put this down to either terrible hardware or intentionally designed to reduce performance after a set period to encourage people to re-buy. Sadly, this is not the first tp-link devices i have had this happen with. Their support is somewhat useless and blame my house for "changing", which is complete rubbish. I know there is nothing wrong with my router/internet/pcs since I bought an adapter from another company and it is easily hitting 800mbps, where running a test on this right after still couldn't get above 300mbps. Only buy this if you are prepared to get a new/replacement within a short period of time.

Been using this for a few weeks now and it has worked very well. It was a simple plug it in and install the drivers to get it working. I have had no signal drop-outs or any issues with it. I had tried another brand of USB wi-fi adapter but it get dropping the signal, it was like the device was being unplugged and then plugged back in. My download speeds have improved compared to the previous wi-fi adaptor and powerline adaptors I was using. My router is on the ground floor at the front of the house and I'm using the TP-Link AX1800 in a room on the first floor at the back. Overall I would recommend this USB wi-fi adaptor. UPDATE: Bought a new mini PC with Windows 11 Pro and, unfortunately, this adapter just doesn't work well. Download speeds would vary between 0.1 and 30 (my max) at random, the device would disconnect and reconnect to USB. I updated the drivers to no avail. The device still works on my Windows 10 PC. I have noticed that my Bros Trend AC3 adapter has a specific driver for Windows 11 so it may just be a driver issue the TP-Link need to fix.

I like how small the usb is and how it allows me to connect my Bluetooth headphones to my computer. Its convenient and as I do not like wearing big bulky headphones I can just wear my airpods and listen to my computer. It works great and is compatible with windows 11. The only problem I have is that when I'm sitting at my desk it works perfectly fine. However when I get up and go to the other side of the room to open my curtains for example. The Bluetooth becomes weak and disconnects. It doesn't have very good range but it's expected from a USB of this size. Very small and not too noticeable when plugged in. However it is still a very good device for when I'm sitting at my desk. Id say it's good for it's price but the range isn't great so that's why I'm eating only 3 stars

Este adaptador funciona muy bien en LINUX. Si no funciona de inmediato, es necesario instalar algún firmware adicional que no proporciona el fabricante, pero Amazon no me deja publicar los comandos para hacerlo, porque incluyen un enlace a la web de github. Lo mejor que puedo hacer es sugerir una búsqueda web de la frase "sudo dkms install -m rtl8852au -v 1.15.0.1" que es el ultimo comando y, con un poco de suerte, encontrarás los tres comandos anteriores necesarios para instalar el firmware correcto en Linux. Works just great for me! Try disabling existing wifi card if using a laptop, caused some issues but worked in the end. Went from wifi 5 10mbs to 450mbs with some distance.
