My home was built in 1940, and I have slowly been adding vintage elements to the kitchen over the past few years. As the kitchen was never really remodeled, these elements add a comforting and natural feel to the room. These kitchen towels are a great addition to that feel.They are sturdy, have washed well, and they're absorbent when needed and keep me from burning my hand when grabbing a pan or baking sheet. I have been on the hunt for good quality kitchen towels for a while. With these, while not disappointed, I’m not super impressed.They look great. The gingham style is a classic for a reason. They fit in almost any kitchen and add a nice bit of color. The size is decent. Not the largest so they can’t do certain jobs, but they aren’t small either. They hold up to most kitchen tasks and get the job done fairly well. I personally prefer slightly larger towels but these aren’t really lacking, so that’s not a deal breaker.My only gripe is the material. They’re not the most absorbent. I try to clean a mess, dry a spill, dry dishes and cutlery, and the towels don’t seem to pick up a lot of moisture. They must sit. They soak up a bit, and kinda spread the rest around. The best example I can give is when washing and drying my prep knives, I never seem to be able to completely dry them. The blades are always left damp. Washing them and breaking them in hasn’t really helped the situation.Aesthetically lovely. Nice vintage vibe. For the price and quantity, it’s a decent deal.

Loved my other order but this faded significantly after 1st wash. Also didn’t really dry the dishes. Guessing because of the ink used. Bummer.
