Well made. Bright. Great design.
I bought this to attach to my skydiving helmet to use during night jumps. After I open my parachute, I switch on this light to illuminate my parachute. This helps identify issues (as needed), and it also looks cool so others can see me flying around. Oh yeah, that's for safety too, so we don't crash into each other in the dark. It's bright, fairly lightweight, very well designed and built well. I like that I can use a GoPro mount with it! I can see this coming in handy on my tractor, for plowing at night, as well as in other applications.Good stuff. I will likely buy more. I guess I took the word diving literally.

Bright!
This light is a great companion to anyone who uses a GoPro or similar action camera.Or even for someone who just wants a waterproof light. It mounts to all GoPro accessories, allowing you to use it as a wearable or mountable light if you don't need to record whatever it is you're doing. The buckle mount on top lets you attach a camera.Water resistance is present and accounted for. I have not taken it diving, but have experienced no housing leakage with several short-duration short-depth tests. The design looks solid. This takes Hero3-series batteries. If you have a Hero3 that you upgraded, but still have your old batteries, they'll find a great home here. The light spread fills the typical action camera's field of view quite nicely. You'll experience some viginetting during near-work with the camera/light within a few feet of the subject, but that'll fall off as you get further away.I recommend using "Low" power for up close work, and "High" power for further away subjects or fill lighting.Battery life is as advertised.I have had no problems with charging the battery - it rests securely in the carriage, and isn't jostled by anything that I would subject something that's currently charging to.It weighs just over 100g - about the same weight as a Hero 4 Silver without its housing. Weight could be a concern when using this with a camera installed on top.The Hero 5 series Floaty accessory can carry the camera, this light, and most common wearable mounts. It cannot carry this with a "Three Way" stick unless you remove the mini tripod from the base, or the extension arms.

Outstanding for diving with GoPro
I have done over 50 dives with this light on my GoPro. I have a dive case for my GoPro that has a cold shoe on top for this. I keep the light at a slight angle over the GoPro shot and it has give me so many good shots even in places where I can’t see.The light holds a charge very well. I’ve never had a single problem with this light and it give me the perfect light for night dives and even for day dives in deep water or dark reef crevices.I’ve taken this light to 130 feet with no issues. I’ve done entire dive trips without having to recharge it. I don’t keep it on all the time. I only turn it on when I know I need it or might need it.Overall I couldn’t be happier with this light with my GoPro.

Good starter
For fairly close work, fairly good. But after 3 feet they just don't have the punch of big boy lights. But for the price you get a LOT. I got my value out of the light by learning what the limitations of the lighting really is. For the price, great light. For lighting a room inside a wreck with an older GoPro, even 2 are not going to have the power needed. Lighting the inside of an ammo can a foot away, they do good. Now for the extra bonus, they are rated for 147'. They go deeper just fine. I did multiple dives in the 150-200' range with them. Neither one had any issue. They still turned on and off just like they should. Not even a depth related button jamming that I would accept for running them well past there rated depth. I thought I would probably kill at least one, but no, they live. Battery life is pretty good as well, better than the GoPro. Run them hard and the light output will just fade. I ran one super long just to see what it would do, it dimmed down to the low output but never went out. Recharged back up just fine. They don't compare to a real high power video light, but they are a good starter and will help you learn what the light needs to do and what it can't do. For the price, they are a good value. Next step, spend a grand on big lights, naw, not going to happen anytime soon. Keep using these lights and live with the limitations.

Big Disappointment
When I first received these lights and charged them up, I was pretty excited. They were a very bright flood style. I mounted them to a GoPro mount and I was ready to go! We headed down to Cozumel for a week of diving. On the FIRST DIVE (40ft-50ft) one of the lights would not turn off. Then it started flashing nonstop. When I got to surface the light was very hot. So I removed it and took the battery out. We did four more dives (max depth of 90ft) with no issues. On the next dive the second light did the same as the first light. Now I have two lights that will not turn off and get so hot you can hardly touch them. I have a couple more dives left and no lights. I had high hopes for these light. However, the quality and reliability is just not there. I will be returning these lights.
