I’ve been using the 2025 All-New 4-in-1 TDS Meter for a few weeks now to check water quality in my aquarium and for general testing around the house, and overall it’s been accurate, reliable, and easy to use. Right from the first test, the readings felt consistent. Whether I was measuring total dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (EC), or water temperature, the numbers matched what I expected based on past tests with other meters. The ability to switch between °C and °F is a nice touch, and the digital display is clear and readable even in lower light. One thing I appreciate is how simple the device is to operate. There are only a couple of buttons, and once you learn the basics (calibrate, dip, and hold for a stable read), it’s very straightforward. The meter responds quickly, and the readings stabilize in a matter of seconds, which makes testing quick when you’re doing multiple samples. The build feels solid for the price — it’s lightweight but doesn’t feel flimsy, and the protective cap helps keep the sensitive electrodes safe when stored. The digital screen is easy to read, though it doesn’t have a backlight, so if you’re working in dim conditions you might need a light source. A few small things to know: The probe section is a bit compact, so you have to be careful to dip it deep enough for accurate readings, especially in shallow containers. I’ve been using this water tester and it’s very simple and straightforward. The device is easy to set up and use, and the instructions are clear enough to get started quickly. I like that it only takes a few seconds to get a reading, which makes it convenient for regular use. The screen is easy to read, and the buttons are simple to understand. This is a great tool. Seems accurate for TDS ppm. When I tested the tap water against some distilled - the readings looked correct. But when I tested my soft water the readings did not change. So, after a brainstorm I realized that soft water neutralizes the minerals but does not remove them. This tester still sees the minerals and reads them as it was designed to do. So, the tester works great. Just not for soft water. Back to those awful test strips.

I was disgusted with my tap water. And that I’ve been giving it to my dogs. I didn’t realize Hawai’i water was so bad. Anyways I love this. I already bought 5 more for my loved ones. This is great! It’s small enough to bring with me everywhere and I will use it at every restaurant I go to. 100 percent valuable especially with the price. I think everyone should have one.

I bought this when it was $5, and it seems to have all of the essential functions of a good EC / TDS meter - it measures temperature, and conductivity, and adjusts both according to some preprogrammed data table + response curve to give an approximate TDS. - I've only tested at room-ish temperature, in the range of 60F-80F - (I would NOT expect it to be calibrated outside of that range) - Distilled water measures at 0, as I'd expect - Tap water TDS is in the ballpark of total of gH + kH, as per my Aquarium Co-Op Test strips - Cutting the tap water with distilled water cuts the measured number in half, as I would expect - (I would NOT expect this to be accurate for extreme or highly specific water conditions) Some background: TDS isn't real. Or at least it can't be measured in PPM by two metal probes that you stick in some water. What you get here is an APPROXIMATE TDS, based on EC (electrical conductivity), which is dependent on temperature, and attempts to gauge what amount ions, from salts (typically metals such as calcium, magnesium, and sodium, bonded to sulfur or chlorine or carbon, and often nitrogen, oxygen or hydrogen as well) are dissolved in the water. Not everything that dissolves in water is equally conductive (i.e. testing Mountain Dew will not give you a PPM value anywhere near its g/L sugar content - which is to be expected). So you can't use this to measure gH or kH (or even TDS), but you can use it to get a "temperature check" on well, the temperature, and a reasonable ballpark of the TDS. I doubt that there's any special "2024" chip in here as they claim. It may have a generic chip manufactured in 2024, or be programmed with a more accurate conductivity response curve (it's not linear) for the types of metal probes they use, or adjusting conductivity to more accurately represent what's expected for the types of salts in drinking water, but it's just a standard EC meter that's easy to use, with a very easy-to-read display.

I’m very skeptical about it. I’m not sure how accurate or reliable this device really is. I’ve tested it using both Brita-filtered water and water directly from the kitchen faucet. 47ppm for brita and 67 for kitchen faucet
