Good pieces, good sizes, look good
This “box of rocks” was exactly what I was expecting. There were plenty of big chunky pieces and also some smaller fill-in pieces. There was a lot of rubble in the bottom, but looking at what was whole I found it to be very satisfyingly the right amount and of great shapes and sizes. Good, realistic look on the rocks themselves. I found the color to be *very* red but a few weeks in the tank and it’s blending better. I scrubbed it all very thoroughly, but otherwise did not cycle it before adding it to my established tank; and I had no problems or die-off.

As Advertised
The rock came packaged nicely. Each piece was individually wrapped and all pieces were damp and of good size. Has only been in the tank for 1 month so far.

Half crumbles shards
I had installers come out yesterday to set up a saltwater tank and when they opened the box they got 4 usable pieces of rock out of the 55lb box. The rest was crumbles and broken off pieces and slivers. They were unusable in the setup of a saltwater tank. Save time and money and just buy from a local aquarium supply if that’s an option. I did reach out to the seller but they said I would have to ship the whole box back. That wasn’t an option because I had to salvage what rock I could since the installers were here and it would have been another month before they could come back if I cancelled.

To many broken up pieces
Nice product but too many broken up wasted pieces and where the broke off shows white instead of the beautiful purple color

Years ago I had a 120 gallon reef tank. I bought natural live rock from many sources. Most of what I got looked great but always needed to be cured and frequently had nasty stuff in or on it which always caused difficulties. So I just recently started up a new reef tank and was looking for live rock. I did a lot of research and found you can still get natural live rock, Life Rock, and Real Live Rock. I went to several local stores and saw samples of each.Real Live Rock won hands down. The colors and textures look totally natural. Density is about the same as natural, and it was very porous. So I ordered a 20 pound box. I was shocked to get a box that was totally dry. The rocks inside were wrapped and barely damp. Not what I was expecting. Twenty pounds came in four main pieces that were perfect in size, not to big, not to small, and various shapes. The colors were mainly two shades of purple with exposed aged rock. It looked totally natural. My only regret was that there was no green or pink in it. In the tank it looks like genuine natural live rock, not spray painted like the competitors.I am setting up a 38 gallon bow front reef tank. To keep cost down I placed 20 pounds of Real Reef Live rock on top of 40 pounds of base rock. The only thing better than how it looks is my knowing that no natural reefs were harmed so I could have a pretty rock in my living room tank.February 2018 I paid $129 for a 20 pound box.

Real rock
I dislike the rock because it was so small and was in pieces.
