One of the best practical business books period
This book is a diamond in the rough. I am a seasoned entrepreneur and have read hundreds of business books over the years. I am surprised to see how few reviews this book has and was therefore compelled to write one. This book oozes with nuggets of good advice from experienced and successful entrepreneurs. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to start and scale a consumer product business. I have owned this book for 9 years and was refreshing myself with it - that's how good it is. This book has been a guide and helped me build successful businesses.

Read it
Great book should be used as a teaching journal. Personally lived through the ups and downs as described. Anyone with any idea should read this. Well written and based on fact.Put your balls in a wheel barrel like Adam and Eric. This books screams the truth, good and bad. Not a self serving fluff book. A real tale based on fact .Take the category these kids attacked. Then read the book and buynthe product. The youngbcan take heed.James v. Merlo

I felt like I was walking through an essay searching for justification
Writing seems to get ahead of itself at some points and drone on in others. I felt like I was walking through an essay searching for justification. There is also a pretty strong stigma around the idea that a new company is by its inception a successful and innovative one--yet, I also appreciated the flaws they did see, admit and attempt to resolve. Overall I'm not sure this method is right for me.

Inspirational example of how businesses should be run in the modern world.
This book was not only an inspiring business story - I'm now 100% sold on their products also!Great story of how to build a culture, what marketing and sales look like in the modern world, lean startup in practice (though they don't call it that), business agility (though they don't use this term either) and collaboration.

Awesome business book
Awesome business book! Incisive, irreverent, witty, and replete tried and true of real world experiences. One of the best that I have ever read. So much so, that I bought it for my entire management team.

METHOD rocks
Innovation in consumer product goods is difficult and unusual because most of the shelf space is controlled by a small group of risk-averse large companies. METHOD is an exception bringing innovation and safer products to all of us. Read this book to learn how they operate!

The Pattern Emerges...
I have read tons of books by successful entrepreneurs. This one is - I will say - par for the course... but that's not negative by any means. They authors lay out how they took an idea and created a multi-million dollar business in a field dominated by mega giants. The point here is this - the pattern emerges. There's a pattern to Zappos, Method, Apple, Amazon etc. The pattern is similar and Ryan lays it out - it's so similar to other successes. So, this is a wake up call to those entrepreneurs who are still not there yet to work this pattern, analyze our own gameplan and action and get it working. It is proven time and time again, that the patter works. It's just a matter of working the plan step by step and not fooling oneself, but actually doing it.Nothing here is esoteric, or undoable. It's just a matter of doing it and keeping at it. Ryan lays it out. The light bulb went off in my universe - yes, there is a pattern. I say this book is a great read - it's the map to getting there. So, I highly recommend it - read it. Refer to it and do it. Or go get a job.
