This did take some time to put together. Good instructions and really wasn't too terrible but it is definitely a project. But overall it was a super great buy. Looks beautiful and it's quite sturdy. Very happy with it. I chose to paint mine before putting it together, which works great as long as you know which pieces are which because there are markings on them so you know that you have the right size. I actually did the second coat of paint after I put it together, which was much more difficult because of the height. I would recommend painting or staining it in some way to keep it looking nice longer.

Excellent product! Two of us put it together in one day. I recommend at least 3 people if you’re less experienced. We poured concrete footings about a week before the product arrived! Biggest draw back was the layout drawings wasn’t very good there was a lot of guess work on where to put the concrete footings but we allowed extra room.

I’m very happy with the Yardenaler 12x16 ft wooden pergola! The cedar wood looks beautiful and feels solid and well-crafted. The flat roof design gives it a modern look while still providing some shade and structure for my garden area. Assembly was straightforward with the included instructions, and all the pieces were well-packaged. Once set up, it feels sturdy and durable, and it really enhances the outdoor space. I also love that cedar naturally resists decay, which is a big plus for outdoor use. Overall, this pergola is a great value for its size and quality. It’s perfect for creating a stylish and functional garden or patio area.

I'm currently assembling this, waiting on a second set of hands to put it up. The cedar wood is lightweight and stained a nice color. The one issue with my set is that there were no pre-drilled holes. The rounded rafters at the top are three pieces each and are screwed together and you will need to make sure that they are pretty much identical, so you'll likely need to identify where you need to pre-drill some holes or make sure you are able to screw every rafter piece in the same location. The packaging consisted of three boxes that were easy to unpack and organize. I'm always skeptical about ordering Chinese products that need assembly from Amazon due to my experience with missing pieces or wrong pieces. The kit was a missing a couple of bolts but nothing major that couldn't be picked up at a local hardware store.

Absolutely love it! It came in 4 large boxes via FedEx, and took me (1 person) about 2 days to fully assemble. I'd HIGHLY recommend before assembling, lay out all the pieces and coat with a good sealant (I used Cabot's Timer Oil). Don't get intimidated or frustrated by all the hardware. Just take your time and it will all come to life.... Once you get the long portions ready to attached to the 4x4's you definitely want a second person to help hold / lift. It has held up great over the past year and we are very happy with the purchase.

I ordered this pergola 6 months prior to this review. The pergola began bowing around 3 months but it wasn’t terrible. This past weekend we wanted to install a shade to the pergola and noticed the bowing is tremendously low now on all middle connection pieces. I did reach out to the seller and the seller is arguing with my photos that it was installed incorrectly, I then verified it was installed correctly with new photos (but these photos were during the shade install) and now they are stating the shade install is the issue and not their problem. I advised that the shade install was JUST put on and the bowing has been ongoing. I don’t foresee them correcting my concerns and I think I will likely end up buying a whole new one by next year because the bowing. Note: this photo is July 10th before the shade was installed. My review today is July 29th. The bowing has existed for 3 months.

We love our pergola. We’ve had it for quite a few months and it’s help up so beautifully. My husband , son and myself put it together after work so it took us two evenings to finish.So sturdy and had all parts. It’s definitely part of my evenings every day. This pergola put the exact charm I needed for my outdoor space. (I put a before picture, so plain)

It took some time to assemble, instructions could be better about where to combine pieces but went together well. This unit was strong and sturdy through hurricane Helene! I will be attaching it to my concrete pad at some point.
