The "Referee" Test: I purchased these specifically for officiating USAV volleyball matches. My first weekend out involved standing for 14 hours, and I was bracing for the usual foot fatigue or arch pain. To my surprise, my feet felt perfectly fine by the end of the day. There was zero "new shoe" soreness or rubbing. Key Performance Observations: Fit & Sizing: These are remarkably true to size. I ordered my standard size and they fit like a glove immediately out of the box. No need to size up for extra sock room. Support: The 608 V5 provides a very stable base. On a gym floor, the traction is reliable, and the internal cushioning doesn't "bottom out" after several hours of standing. Aesthetics: They maintain a professional, clean look suitable for "official" duties or business-casual settings while providing the performance of a cross-trainer. Pros: Immediate comfort with zero break-in period. True-to-size dimensions (no guessing games with ordering). Consistent arch support that lasts through long shifts. Cons: Like most cross-trainers, they are a bit bulkier than a standard running shoe, but the trade-off for support is worth it. Who is this for? Perfect for sports officials, healthcare workers, or anyone in a service industry job where you are stationary or walking on hard floors for 10+ hours at a time.

The New Balance 608 is my go-to for a durable, everyday shoe. The V5 features the ABZORB cushioning that really makes a difference if you’re on your feet all day. They provide excellent arch support and lateral stability, whether you're working in the garage or out for a walk. The leather upper is easy to wipe clean and holds its shape much better than mesh alternatives. It’s a reliable, comfortable, and classic shoe that just lasts. I wear bilateral AFO's and the braces actually fit well in these shoes.

Stands up to heavy and abuse use for about one year (20,000 steps a day, squatting/rising on toes, kicking cinderblocks). Comfortable for 8+ hours walking on concrete, medium weight, good traction on all surfaces. Most of the shoe repels water (the tongue does not). The one downside is when it decides to die, it goes all at once. The sole seperates from the shoe and the tread sperates from the sole, all within a couple of weeks.

The New Balance 608 V5 are extremely comfortable, and I use them to all my raves and festivals. I’m on my feet for hours dancing, standing, and walking around, and these have held up amazingly well. They provide great support, especially for long days and nights. I also appreciate how durable they feel even with heavy use. Honestly, I haven’t found any other comfy shoes that work as well for me at festivals. These are the only ones that keep my feet feeling good all night. If you’re looking for comfortable, supportive shoes for long events or everyday wear, I highly recommend them.

The deilivery was much quicker than expected. Saved about $25. over regular price. Wasn't sure about the size but it turned out to be a great fit. Have a 10 year old NB pair of shoes which am still using outside for yardwork but neded a nicer pair for regular work. Good quality at a very good price, This pair of shoes did need an extra small arch support.

I love these shoes! They have a great combination between style, comfort and durability. I'm a high school teacher and constantly on my feet all day. These shoes are great for urban environments like that. The photo is after owning and excessively wearing the shoes for a year. They are still looking great and holding strong. I'm a size 10.5 and that size in this style feels fine. My feet are supported and my toes are not crowded up front. Buy this brand and style with confidence, especially if you find it on sale.

My low cost "go to" shoe. I'm an active tennis player, 2 to 3 times a week and these shoes are light, comfortable, and wear well. I usually get 6 or 7 months out of them.

Shoes looks as advertised and fits well for a 4E width Was excited for them to come in but noticed multiple splotches/stains on the white sole and slight discolouration on the suede.
