Review: great kit - I put this on a 2004 Jeep Wrangler during a replacement of the throwout bearing. I also replaced the flywheel with the Luk flywheel. This kit comes with the pilot bearing and throwout bearing, but I had ordered the Timlin pilot and National Bearing throwout based on other forum comments and reviews. However, the National Bearing was defective, and the Timlin pilot bearing actually looked inferior to the Luk kit part (teeth were shorter on the inside). I went with all kit parts. That was 1000 miles ago, and I have had zero issues with the Luk clutch kit parts. Many people seemed concerned about the plastic on the kit's throwout bearing - from my perspective 1) I don't think Luk would sell an awesome clutch and pair it with junky accessories, 2) it's a good plastic composite that might actually be preferable to metal (cause it rides on metal, this might be smoother), and 3) it didn't feel cheap or low-quality, it's just not metal. Time will tell if I regret the decision, but for what it's worth I saved $60 bucks or so using the kit parts and I'm not disappointed. As far as the replacement, all the parts fit perfect. Don't forget the slide hammer & puller for the pilot bearing, and you might want to get the fork pin (it's a 5 dollar Mopar part) and swap it while you're in there. Also...I'm pretty sure the dust on the clutch is asbestos, so wipe it up with a damp rag when you see it. And...I'm pretty sure the '04 Wranglers don't have the AX-15 transmission (mine didn't) - so don't freak out when your shifter doesn't rotate and pop out like most of the videos. 4 x 8mm bolts are holding it on from the top - follow your gut and just pop it out (zip tie a plastic bag around it to keep it clean).

**Q: What is the main difference between this model and LuK 05-901 Clutch Kit???? Sorry for my ignorance**
A: I’ve ordered both of these and have had them side by side for comparison.  In my experience the only difference with this clutchis the 05-901 comes with a throw out bearing in a metal housing whereas the throw out bearing in the -065 has a plastic housing. Everything else in the kit as well as how the clutch as built was the exact same.

**Q: Do you happen to know ih this kit comes with a full metal release bearing or one with a plastic sleeve?**
A: Ordered mine August 2015 and received the metal throwout/release bearing. It seems hit or miss as to whether you get a metal or plastic sleeved one. Is best to wait and see what you get with kit then buy the TO bearing separately if you're not happy with the plastic sleeved one.

**Q: what is the made of this part ( usa - china - tiwan - other ) ?**
A: The Pressure Plate and Disc are made in Mexico. That is the short answer to your question. There really is more to it. The important thing is that with the exception of very few specialty parts today no clutches are made in the USA. LuK, the largest OEM prvider in the world, as well as other OE manufactured clutches have plants throughout the world. LuK's Mexico plant provides most USA domestic needs. This is a very widely used clutch. Other parts (like bearings) may be made in the USA.

**Q: Does it come with a pilot shaft?**
A: The shaft itself is attached to your Transmission...so no. However, if your referring to the Pilot Shaft Bearing, then yes mine did come with the pilot shaft "Bearing".

I put this on a 2004 Jeep Wrangler during a replacement of the throwout bearing. I also replaced the flywheel with the Luk flywheel. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great clutch kit for my 2003 TJ Wrangler Rubicon with NV3550 5 speed

Install went smoothly. This kit includes a new pilot bearing (which you will have to use a slide removal tool to get the old one out of the engine - its where the input shaft from the tranny docks into), throw-out bearing (which slides on the bearing retainer on your transmission), pressure plate and clutch disc, and the tool to align the clutch disk when bolting the pressure plate on (to ensure fingers are even and disc is centred to pilot bearing). My input shaft bearing retainer exploded on the trails and I had to drive home in 2nd and 3rd gear. I replaced the input shaft bearing retainer and installed a new oil seal behind it too. I used Permatex Ultimate Copper for the input shaft bearing retainer. While I was in there I decided to install this clutch kit, I have 220,000 KMs and it was still on the OEM clutch !!! The OEM uses LuK too, so this kit is the real deal. I used a dab of synthetic grease on the throw-out bearing pivot point on the fork, and where it slides on the bearing retainer, and the ball the fork pivots on. The only tricky part was docking and undocking the bell housing from the engine, and the top two reverse E12 TORX sockets that hold on various brackets. Make sure everything is clear (hoses, cables etc) when redocking the bellhousing onto the engine or you will pinch stuff. I highly recommend a transmission jack adapter or something similar to get the transmission and transfer case back and down, preferably you have a smooth surface to roll it on, it will help with redocking. I bought mine at harbor freight for $60. Hope this helps.
