Okay, I remember when 64KB felt cutting-edge, but this Addlink A93 4TB monster makes my childhood tech look like cave drawings. This thing is absurdly fast - we're talking 7400MB/s speeds that make game loads disappear and file transfers feel like teleportation. Why I'm obsessed: ✔ PS5 Ready - Slid right in with the included heatsink (no thermal throttling nonsense) ✔ Game-Changing Capacity - 4TB means I'll never delete another game just to install a new one ✔ SLC Cache Magic - Keeps those insane speeds consistent during big file moves The heatsink is sleek and stays cool under pressure - perfect for marathon gaming sessions. Installation took literal minutes (M.2 slots are the best thing to happen to storage since the floppy disk died). For anyone debating: If you're still rocking a Gen 3 drive or worse, a hard drive (bless you), this is like upgrading from a bicycle to a spaceship. Worth every penny for load time alone. Final Thought: My inner 8-bit kid is crying tears of joy at how far we've come. 10/10 would upgrade again.

First time purchasing this brand and was looking to add additional m.2 ssd storage for my ps5 pro, so the specs looked just right for pro version, and the 4TB sale price was great compared to competition! Another important factor for purchasing this ssd for ps5 was all about high reading speeds rather that write and cache performance, since 99% of the time your ps5 will be reading games from ssd rather then writing to it, so dram-less sdd is more than enough for ps5 (dram and 3d cache are just unnecessary expensive extras not needed for ps5 for reason mentioned above). First things I noticed after installing the drive and booting up, was the reported max read speed by ps5 pro - it registered as almost 7000 MB/s! This is the highest I’ve seen from usual reported speeds here on Amazon and from my own experience, and I believe that’s max supported speed by ps5 pro. Another pleasant surprise was that actual storage was above 4TB, as it showed 4.10TB in storage settings, so kudos to Addlink for adding bonus 100GB of storage to this drive! And lastly, the dram-less model looks really slick with its carbon metallic heatsink once installed in ps5. So far really happy with this drive, very fast loading times in games, and writing speed when copying games to it are also excellent (few seconds for smaller games, and 10-20 seconds for very large games). So all in all this drive checks all the boxes I would expect for ps5 pro upgrade.

I was concerned that this SSD with heatsink might not work with a PS5 Slim -- the product page wasn't clear on the issue -- but my fears seem to have been unwarranted. In fact, the most difficult part of installing this puppy was trying to figure out how to detach and replace the plastic outside cover on the PS5! It took me about five minutes to install the drive. I then restarted the PS5, which asked me if I wanted to format the new drive. Yes, please -- and the formatting took all of thirty seconds, if that. I then checked the storage info and found the new drive responding as expected, with just under 2TB of storage available and a read/write speed of 6,800 something-or-other, if I remember correctly. I'll report back if I encounter any shortcomings with this drive, but so far, it appears to offer fine performance for the money...
