Very surprised by how well this works and the convenience of battery power
I've had a Home Depot Ridgid brand vacuum for about 12 years. It was a three horsepower model. Worked fantastic up until a couple months ago when it started making some loud noises from motor after about 2 minutes of use. I've used it to vacuum out both my vehicles, my garage and my son and daughter like to come over to my house and wash their vehicles because I have all the nice stuff for washing and detailing, so they use it to vacuum out their vehicles too. It's got quite a bit of regular use over these years. Since I have several EGO tools, I have several batteries of theirs already and every one of their tools has performed outstanding, so I decided to buy this unit to replace my ailing Rigid. All I can say is wow I am very impressed by this product. On high it's about the same power as the plug-in electric rigid it replaced and on turbo it is quite powerful. It's very quiet also. I can vacuum out a vehicle with one 2.5 amp hour battery. I do turn it off using the remote on the end of the handle, which is the most convenient thing ever by the way, so I think that helps a little bit with battery life. It's very easy to move around and follows me wherever I go by just pulling on the hose. Having all of the tools be able to store on the product as well as the hose wrapped around the top when you're done is really nice, makes it very easy to store and take up hardly any space. I don't use the bag that came with it, I just don't see a use for that for my purpose. I haven't used it for liquids yet but I didn't use my other one for liquid very often either. Is The impossible on a 7 amp hour battery I'm able to vacuum out my entire garage, up in the corners, the floor and all the shelves for cobwebs etc and not even worry about battery life. Not having a cord to get tangled up in or stop the vacuum from rolling by getting stuck on it is quite the liberating experience, I'm serious. And having that remote button on the handle is brilliant! I thought the crevice tool with the light tube was going to be a gimmick but I tell you for vacuuming out underneath the seats and in between the seat and the console areas it is absolutely fantastic. Overall I'm super happy with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you're already invested in the EGO power equipment ecosystem.

The Next Generation of Wet/Dry Vacuums
Many of us have owned the venerable ShopVac. It gets the job done and usually does so for years on end. Yet it has its usual pain points. Just imagine cleaning the interior of your car without the power cord always hanging up on the edge of the tire. I’m an established EGO user, having taken ownership of many of their tools over the years. I’d have to say that once again, EGO has managed to deliver an impressive product. Out of the box, this vacuum comes with the standard assortment of attachments. Most everything on this platform gets a home to be properly stowed, including the hose and solid extensions. Interestingly, while the floor attachment snaps onto the back, the squeegee insert gets the short shrift and is left to fend for itself. While the attachments work well, some of them just seem a bit oversized for automotive interior work. Thankfully, a small adapter allows you to use third-party attachments that universally slip together. The suction of this vacuum lives up to its billing. Even on the low speed setting, there’s an ample amount of suction for normal use. I used a 4 amp-hour battery and the run time on this unit was plenty long, as I was able to vacuum out two family-sized cars top to bottom with plenty of capacity left over. There are three speed settings: low, high, and turbo. I would expect that battery life is significantly impacted if you choose to run this at high speed for longer periods. The hose end has the typical suction bypass collar found on many household vacuums. Of course, very few of us use this feature, and in this particular design, I found myself inadvertently rotating the collar open, which reduces the effectiveness of the vacuum. This became such a nuisance that I ended up covering the opening underneath the collar with electrical tape to defeat this function. One feature that I missed when researching this vacuum is the wireless remote control that attaches to the end of the hose. I have to say, this is probably the most underrated feature, especially when working inside a car. Instead of having to climb out to turn the vacuum on and off on the canister, a click where you are doing the work is all it takes to get going. The remote also has a small light to aid illuminating the suction area. The crevice tool even has a light pipe to direct the light to the tool tip. The remote has its own rechargeable battery, and recharges off of a standard USB-C connector. This unit does come with a collection bag, and this resides in the bottom half of the canister. You obviously don’t use this when wet vacuuming, and you can probably have the option of leaving it out and allowing the contents to just collect in the tub like most other wet/dry vacs. There is a filter built into the top half, and there’s an ingenious feature that allows you to attempt to clean it without taking the vacuum apart to do so. While I can see this offering a way to extend the use of the cardboard-framed paper filter elements, my suspicions are that eventually this will lose its effectiveness. Unless you are sucking up water, my opinion is that the collection bag is the way to go. While this tool intrigued me, the normal price even as a bare tool did make me wince. I ended up picking this up at a discounted price during Prime Day that made it a bit more palatable. Despite being about twice what a conventional wet/dry vac costs, the features, cordless convenience, and electrical safety in wet environments make it justified. If you are an established EGO user and are ready to go cordless with your wet/dry vacuum, this seems to be another quality offering from EGO.

Enjoy your purchase, you will not regret it.
I never write reviews, but I had to for this one. If you’re debating getting the EGO 9 Gallon Shop Vac, just go ahead and pull the trigger especially if you already own EGO products. I was impressed at how powerful this thing is for being battery powered. Battery life obviously depends on what power mode you’re using, but the convenience of being completely cordless makes up for it instantly. No dragging cords around, no hunting for outlets, just grab it and go. The onboard storage is also really well thought out, and the remote control feature is way more useful than I expected. Overall, this has easily been one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time. Super convenient, powerful, and just extremely well designed.

EGO (WDV0900) 9-Gallon Cordless Wet/Dry Vacuum – Power Meets Versatility
The EGO WDV0900 Cordless Wet/Dry Vacuum is a powerhouse of a tool that truly lives up to the hype. Its 110 CFM of suction power, combined with the convenience of being cordless, makes it a game-changer for anyone tackling tough cleanup tasks, whether on a job site or at home. The suction power is simply incredible. This vacuum makes short work of even the most stubborn debris, from heavy sawdust to wet messes. Its performance rivals many corded models, yet it offers the freedom of mobility thanks to the 56-volt lithium-ion battery system. While the battery and charger aren’t included, it integrates seamlessly with EGO’s existing battery lineup, which is a major plus for those already invested in their ecosystem. The 9-gallon capacity is ideal for a variety of tasks, providing plenty of room for both wet and dry debris without needing constant emptying. The multiple power modes allow for customization depending on the task, and the included remote control is a thoughtful addition. Being able to switch modes or power the vacuum on and off without bending down saves time and energy, especially during longer projects. The build quality is top-notch, with a sturdy design that feels ready to take on the toughest environments. Despite its power, it’s remarkably quiet compared to other vacuums in its class. The portability and convenience of cordless operation combined with the power and efficiency of this vacuum make it an indispensable tool for professionals and DIYers alike. If you’re looking for a vacuum with unmatched power and flexibility, the EGO WDV0900 is a no-brainer. It’s one of the best investments I’ve made for cleaning up after projects, and it handles everything I throw at it with ease.

Everyone should own one of these!
This product is amazing! It has all the necessary tools attached to it and is a wonderful shape. It rolls nicely and doesn’t tip over, which has been a constant problem with ordinary round shop vacs. It’s so awesome that my family uses it regularly to vacuum pet hair from the hardwood floors - it’s too nice to use in a garage! Being cordless means it’s perfect to vacuum out the car too. Love the long battery life. Powerful suction and ease of use.

This has no reason to be so quiet.
This item has no reason to be so quiet. Had to check a couple times to make sure it was working. Works very well and great suction. Was able to clean my chimney perfectly. Led light is dim but useful. Tool is pretty expensive but overall well worth it

Nice car vac, Not so nice shop vac.
If your current shop vacuum is a 5hp with a 1 7/8 hose, this vac will probably be a disappointment. The hose diameter is way small, the extension tube is too short unless your 5' tall. The CFM is two low for reasonable dust/chip collection. I was hoping that his might be a replacement instead of an additional vacuum, disappointing. However being cordless, and having that remote are redeeming features and hopefully work great for small hand power tools. It is a very nice car vac... (FYI Prime day - $100 off)

Amazingly Useful, No Cord!
Like most people, I've had a Shop-Vac for years, with the cord and various attachments. The cord adds to the hassle of dragging it out or being able to reach any area not near an outlet. Not so with the EGO wet/dry vac! It was so nice to bring it anywhere in the house, to the cars, and the ultimate hack is bringing it to the outdoor shootin' range to pick up shells because there's no better tool. In this case, the range keeps the shells which I just pour into their recycling bucket when I'm done. The battery lasts long enough for any reasonable task, and if you get a second battery you can always have one charged. The power is good, and I really like the Bluetooth remote for toggling the power. I also really like the form factor of the EGO vac. It's not so tall and top-heavy like many others, and it fits in the trunk of my Tesla easily. This would not be so easy with my older vac. It's got some heft but it's not overly heavy, and not even all that awkward to carry. EGO design in some convenient handholds to make it easier to carry. I also think it looks cool, and EGO's design language has always been aesthetically pleasing. Big fan of the EGO system!

Ego Vacuum
Nice vacuum without a cord to tangle up, or have to wrap up while using, plenty of power. Remote control that attaches to hose is awesome, easy to operate the unit….

Amazing vacuum.
This is a terrific vacuum. No more extension cords plus, it doesn't produce heat like my Shop Vac. I like the remote control with the light. The crevice tool has an optic fibre which carries the light to the tip. The hose clips into the machine and the tools clip on to the hose which is another great touch. I like the three speeds, too.
