Als leidenschaftlicher Schrauber und Heimwerker habe ich schon zahlreiche Produkte zur Rostbekämpfung ausprobiert, doch der WEICON Rostumwandler in der 400 ml Sprühdose setzt qualitativ absolut neue Maßstäbe. Ich habe das Spray verwendet, um korrodierte Stellen am Unterboden meines Fahrzeugs sowie an einem alten Gartentor aus Metall nachhaltig zu sanieren. Das Ergebnis ist schlichtweg phänomenal. Anwendung & Sprühverhalten: Die Handhabung über die Aerosoldose ist im Vergleich zum klassischen Pinseln ein riesiger Komfortgewinn. Der Sprühkopf ist hervorragend konstruiert: Er vernebelt die Flüssigkeit extrem gleichmäßig, ohne zu tropfen oder unschöne Rotznasen zu bilden. Dadurch lässt sich das Produkt auch an verwinkelten Stellen, tiefen Falzen oder schwer zugänglichen Hohlräumen absolut deckend auftragen. Die Kriechfähigkeit des Materials ist beeindruckend, sodass auch mikroskopisch kleine Rostporen zuverlässig benetzt werden. Chemische Wirkung & Reaktionszeit: Nach dem Aufsprühen auf den mechanisch vorgereinigten (drahtgebürsteten) Rost setzt die chemische Reaktion erstaunlich zügig ein. Man kann visuell perfekt mitverfolgen, wie sich die behandelte Oberfläche farblich verändert. Die rot-braune Oxidschicht wandelt sich in einen tiefschwarzen, metallorganischen Eisenkomplex um. Nach der vollständigen Durchtrocknung bildet das Produkt eine steinharte, matte und extrem widerstandsfähige Schutzschicht auf Epoxidharzbasis. Nachbearbeitung & Langzeitschutz: Ein gigantischer Vorteil dieses Rostkonverters ist, dass die entstandene schwarze Schicht direkt als vollwertige Grundierung fungiert. Ich konnte die Stellen nach der vorgeschriebenen Trocknungszeit ohne jegliche Haftungsprobleme direkt mit Decklack überlackieren oder mit Spachtelmasse weiterbearbeiten. Es gab keinerlei Blasenbildung oder chemische Unverträglichkeiten mit dem nachfolgenden Lackaufbau. Der Korrosionsprozess wird im Kern gestoppt, und selbst nach mehreren Wochen im Außenbereich unter Witterungseinfluss bricht absolut kein neuer Rost mehr durch. Fazit: WEICON liefert hier ein absolut professionelles Industrieprodukt für den anspruchsvollen Einsatz ab. Die Kombination aus chemischer Effizienz, einfacher Sprühanwendung und integrierter Epoxid-Grundierung spart enorm viel Zeit und liefert ein handwerklich perfektes Ergebnis. Für dieses absolut durchdachte und hochwirksame Produkt vergebe ich eine uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung und hochverdiente 5 von 5 Sternen!
