Sports Research® Vegan Flaxseed Oil 1200mg, 180 Plantgels™ | Herbal Supplement with Plant-Based ALA Omega 3 - Vegan Certified & Non-GMO Verified - Gluten, Soy & Carrageenan Free

I love that I can get a large bottle of plant based omega 3's for a decent price, via online orders. It is a product that is important for a myriad of health benefits and also is in alignment with my vegan lifestyle. This bottle will last me a while because I feel as though I really only need to take one gel capsule a day, as opposed to the potential maximum of 3 daily, that an individual may feel as though they need. The only issue I may have is that when they arrived in the mail they seemed a little stuck together, most likely just do to the fluctuations of temperatures this time of year in the pacific northwest, where I reside. They stay a bit stuck together at room temperature as well, but not enough that it has given me issue regarding retrieval. I would think that with gel capsules, a little adhesion is naturally to be expected, and it probably couldn't be helped much anyway. Thanks for the wonderful product! I have chronic dry eye, so my Dr said I should be using fish oil supplements. I'm a vegetarian so chose this flaxseed oil product to use, but like vegans, I also don't consume gelatin. This product is a plant based capsule, so takes care of that issue. I have bought this brand for years, and been happy with it. A few years ago, sometimes the capsules came partially stuck together, but I haven't had that occur in a while now. Sometimes there is a very slight aftertaste, but nothing major.

I started using the flaxseed oil because I want to reduce inflammation. I take one capsule twice a day. I have many food and environmental allergies, which of course means that I have lots of inflammation. My functional medicine doctor recommended that I begin to take fish oil as part of my gut healing regiment to reduce inflammation. I initially started using doTERRA's EO Megas, and while they were good, it left me burping essential oils all day. I switched to Sports Research flaxseed because I am attempting to transition to more of a plant-based diet and felt that my supplements should also be plant-based. About two weeks after starting Sports Research flaxseed oil, I noticed that my skin seems to be clearing up and my digestive system seems to be regulating. I will note that my diet had changed somewhat, but even when I went back to eating junk (I had a rough couple of weeks), my digestive system still seems to be much better than it was before. There has also been a significant decrease in my abdominal pain. I also have to note that even though the flaxseed oil does make me burp, there is no aftertaste at all. I have been taking the flaxseed oil for a little over a month today, but I plan to continue taking it and I am looking forward to the long-term benefits that it offers.

I just started taking this product and will do a review again later. I love that there is an alternative to fish oil because I cannot tolerate it due to IBS issues. So far this hasn’t caused my stomach any distress. I love that it has omega 3, 6 & 9. I also love that it is non GMO certified, certified vegan, gluten free and GMP certified. Quality ingredients is what I was looking for and over 300mg. Most oils you see start at 300mg. Right now I’m taking 2 a day instead of 3 because the bottle only has 180 softgels and there’s two of us taking this. Update: I have been using this a couple of weeks and have seen a big change in my eyes. Pun intended. I had a severe case of dry eye and my doc wanted me to use fish oil. I cannot tolerate fish oils so I tried this instead and I have noticed a huge difference. I take one capsule only. I was taking it 2-3 times a day and it was causing stomach upset and bleeding so I went down to one pill and everything is right as rain. Update: Was told to take fish oils for my dry eye and vision but I could not tolerate some brands I’ve tried. Tried your flaxseed oil and I can only take it once a day as it was causing some intestinal problems and some bleeding taking it two to theee times a day. So far so good with one pill and my eyes are not as irritated and dry as they were. I will keep taking them one pill for eye relief.

Excellent omega 3 supplement. I keep in the fridge, hope that is good.

I know it is late for a review, but I got an email to leave a feed back. I recieved the item in good packaging but the plastic saftey seal that seals the pills under the lid was open so I threw it in the trash because I don't know what might dwell inside and it may affect my health if I ate it since it wasn't properly sealed.

Capsules stuck together. Some of the capsules got leaked. Fishy smell. I lost around 25 capsules. Worst delivery. I removed the stucked capsules and put to another bottle.
