Metal is harder, higher quality. Stripped some screws with those cheap screwdriver i had. The job would have gone a lot faster with this and less cussing. The springed-tilting bit holder is nice, from 30 degree to upright.I would advice not to use the 2.5" bit holder as a level (pict 2), and use one of the hex bit instead. It's easy to insert the bits into the magnetic holder, but not easy to insert it into the main holder. It's a very tight fit and you almost have to force it through. You'll see.They should have made the main holder magnetic as well. A hard to reach screw behind a motor in an appliance I was working on. This set has everything you need in the small Torx bits which is what I needed. Plus the small nut drivers are great as well. Loved this set so much I ordered another one.
