He put in washing machine on gentle, and then let it air dry. It was a commercial college dorm machine. It depends how large your washing machine is. Also purchased a duvet cover so it's easier to just wash that rather than lay the blanket out to dry.

I can't speak for the King size blanket. I can tell you that the twin size blanket covers 3/4 of the top of a Queen size bed. I got the blanket for my husband, thinking the twin would stay on his side! He LOVES the blanket , just so you know.
