These were a lot cheaper a few years ago. Easy to install even if you have to hard wire it. If you are replacing an old model, hard wiring is s must unless you purchase the connector sold separately

Easy to install and I love that it takes AA batteries. I will say it’s a bit too sensitive. Too much steam from the hair dryer will set it off. But, better safe than sorry, I guess.

I ordered this smoke alarm, as I intended to replace this one with our old First Alert alarm. My hope was that the new alarm fit into the bracket of the old one, and it did; no new installation! The old had served faithfully for nearly 30 years.

It's works, maybe to sensitive or maybe when I use my open something is burning (not my food) but yea it goes off sometimes when using the oven. (That is electric)
