These socks are excellent. The appearance is great, looking high-quality right out of the packaging. They offer the perfect balance of warmth for long days on my feet without sacrificing breathability, so my feet stay completely dry and comfortable. In terms of ease of use, they pull on smoothly, stay up perfectly all day, and fit comfortably inside boots. They handle washability wonderfully too. I have run them through the laundry multiple times, and I have noticed zero shrinkage or loss of cushioning. They hold their shape and size perfectly. Highly recommended!

They are definitely warm, but not too warm. They also feel nice and soft on the inside. And they fit well. I would buy them again.

I expected these to not be very good considering their price point, but was on a budget and wanted something that would at least last a Colorado camping trip. Pleasantly surprised by comfort, breathability, and quality so far though. Despite being wool I did not get hot in these. I live in Texas and work construction, wore the same pair two days in a row so far and not only were my feet comfortable and not very sweaty, they're surprisingly odorless despite me slaving away in 90 degree June weather outside. The moisture wicking and odor control are noticeable. Not itchy, they're not silky soft but they're decently comfortable. They're shaped a little weird out of package but look fine when you're wearing them. So far no complaints Only thing I'm unsure of is durability and washing. Will update if I have a problem with either. If this is the end of my review still, assume they're holding up and wash fine!

I like to really put the product to the test before I write these reviews so you know its an honest review. I do like these socks as they keep your feet warm around the house. However, the reason I give them 4 stars is because they slide down your leg and bunch up inside of your shoe overtime. I wouldn't use these for anything where you are really active unless you don't mind the "Bunching up." I only wear these when I'm lounging around the house to keep my feet warm in the winter as well as to walk on the hardwood as they are thick and act as a nice cushion on the floor.

Purchased these socks for hunting after a recommendation of Merino wool. Claimed to be a great option for scent control. With cotton/blend socks always leaving my feet sweating and smelling after a long day in or out of the field. I figured I'd give these a try.. I was skeptical at first seeing as these socks are fairly thick and feel like they would be warm/hot in an early season/warm conditions. I was wrong! While the socks are very well made and thick they're not too thick. they seem to be very durable and I believe they're going to hold up to heavy walking. The last two days current conditions were in the low 90s. wearing boots all day my feet never felt sweaty or uncomfortable. After removing my socks at the end of the day I noticed my boots nor my feet had any odor and neither did the socks! Which is quite the opposite of any other sock or day! I'm on my third day of heavy walking in humid hot Tx conditions and I got to say these socks are great! I will be purchasing more and they will likely become my everyday socks. They're not overly warm they're not overly cool. they seem to regulate temperature very well in both leather and rubber boots. Comfortable compression. No hot spots or irritation on feet from boot rub. 5 stars

Time will tell is soooo fitting. So i been using these on a years worth of hikes, biking and 2 backpacking trips. They are comfortable, and i didnt get any blister inducing hotspots. The bottoms are still holding up. My only negative is that they dont stay tight around the shins and sag down. Most of the time I don’t notice. But when I do it’s annoying.

Before you read this review, you should know that I'm kind of a sock nut, I probably have 50 or so pairs for all kinds of weather and activities. Most of my socks are merino wool. So I have seen and used a lot of socks. These are, quite honestly, the warmest socks that I have. They're an incredible bargain, with thick, luxurious wool, and are much thicker than merino wool socks from the more common brants (other than their expedition weight, which cost much, much more). I bike all winter using boots that look like ski boots to keep my feet warm on long rides. But these merino socks have allowed me to ride in regular shoes down to about 28 degrees, which is of course much better than putting on heavy boots. I never write reviews, but had to for these, they're just that unexpectedly good, especially considering the price. One possible hitch: they're thick enough that you want to make sure you have enough room in your shoes, don't use them in tight shoes. Also, be prepared for lots of wool lint the first couple of time you wear them. But these are happy "complaints," and you should buy them.

These are fantastic, thick, 80% wool socks with elastic bands at the top and cushioned tops and heels and oh so warm. I have very sensitive feet from working construction 40 years and these babies feel so good. And they're a deal! Very Satisfied!"

Se ven bien. Dice que tiene 80% de lana de Merino. Yo ya tengo de este tipo de calcetines y ando buscando un proveedor que no sea de china por eso de los impuestos. Si salen igual de buenos que los que y tengo. Seguiré comprando.

Great for walking asI have bad knees and need all the comfort and shock absorption I can get (shoes and socks).

However, the comfort is not as good as the grey Red Wings version, (which is priced higher). I have a hard time finding comfortable socks, and the store I usually purchase my socks from doesn't seem to be stocking them any more. These don't seem to wick moisture away very well, which may make them feel cold in the winter, we are entering spring now, and they are almost too warm in my work boots now. If I could get the grey Red Wings, I would go that route as I can wear them year round.

Thick socks, good for winter.
