Of the four devices I initially bought, one would not appear to work at all. On close inspection the reason was that the plastic contact surrounds at each end were prominent and prevented the pins on the light fitting from touching the lamp contacts. This - coupled with the much larger diameter of the LED array compared with a conventional halogen tube - made the lamp very awkward to locate in the existing wall fitting. Too much DIY fettling needed to call it a good product as a drop-in upgrade to old-style halogen R7S tubes. Too soon to comment on longevity. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Nice lights but needed modifying to fit in standard security light *by G***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 4 September 2018* Very bright and white. Only problem was they didn’t fit in my pit light. They fitted inside ok, but the connectors on either end are inside a plastic surround that stopped them connecting to the brass tabs inside the light, they have little round balls pressed into them. The brass balls were too big so didn’t contact the metal ends of the bulbs. I had to file down the plastic about 1mm to expose the metal ends. Perhaps they aren’t meant for my security lights, but the old halogens fitted fine.
