Black Iron Scissor coal tongs.
The fireside Coal Tongs were received well packed, in good condition and on time. I have now tried them out and find them to work much better at grasping and handling the coal than those provided in my existing, quite expensive, fireside set so a good value replacement at a good price3.

Nice tongs
Well made (if a little difficult to grasp coal) overall pleased with the look & sturdiness of this product

Quality
They do the job . Slightly heavy good quality

very heavy
These are stupidly heavy without a log or piece of coal so impractical unless you are very strong. They have also shifted out of alignment now so not very good.

Seemly useful, but often hateful to use
On the face of it, these are good, sturdy tomgs that can take a beating. However, it's the Jaws that really let them down. They have as much grip as a wet bar of soap, so if you are trying to maneuver anything larger than a beer-bottled size bit of wood, it will spin round the inevitably knock over the tower you were attempting to craft. A good to for putting wood in straight... But utterly HATEFUL to use if you are trying to make a teepee/angled burn.

Cast iron coal tongs.
Coal tongs... Or scissors! Cast iron. Painted black and patterned during casting. A decent pair of heavy cast tongs that can open wide to pick up the largest piece of coal. Can be used by one or both hands. Looped handles so it hang on your companion stand.
