After using a one year I can say that this is the best camera in 360 it's app never laga but one problem is there it's voice is too low too audible

Quality of videos are good. But sometimes it doesn't record videos at night in low light.

I bought TP-Link 2K 3MP Outdoor Pan/Tilt | Security Wi-Fi Camera, IP65 in February 2024, Sold By: Appario Retail Private Ltd. My reviews are based on the continuous usage of this security camera thoroughly at my home for 7 months till now. Pros. DETECTION 1. Both motion and person detection. 2. Customizable detection zones. 3. Increase or decrease the sensitivity of motion detection. TRACKING 1. Both motion and person tracking. 2. Costumizable tracking zones. 3. 'On' or 'Off' the tracking mode. PATROLLING 1. 360° non-stop patrolling. 2. Costumizable patrolling zones. 3. Costumizable patrolling schedules. PAN/TILT Adjustable DEGREES the camera will move per tap of pan/tilt. ALARM 1. 'On' or 'Off' the ALARM mode. 2. Alarm for camera TAMPERING or OBSTRUCTION. 3. Adjustable sensitivity for alarm mode. NIGHT VISION 3 different mode; Infrared mode, full colour mode, smart mode (switch from infrared to full colour mode when detect any activity). VIDEO/DISPLAY 1. Customizable video quality; 2K, 1080P, 720P (data-saving) and 360P (smallest data rate). 2. Customizable PRIVACY zones. 3. Option for INVERTIBLE image. RECORDING 1. Customizable recording schedules; continuous recording, detection recording. 2. Sound recording. 3. Cloud (subscription) and SD card recording option. NOTIFICATION 1. For motion/person/tampering. 2. Customizable schedule for notifications. 3. Notification with snapshot (subscription). SPOTLIGHT facility. TWO-WAY audio facility. LED light. VOICE CALL mode. ALEXA & GOOGLE HOME connectivity. REEBOOT & AUTO REEBOOT facility. UPDATE & AUTO UPDATE facility. Cons. So far, there are no major drawbacks with this camera, just a few minor issues. After prolonged live streaming, the camera may occasionally stop streaming live, although it continues recording in the background. Once you reboot the camera, the live streaming resumes. Another minor issue I've encountered is with the camera's rotation. When there's movement directly beneath it, the camera sometimes fails to fully track and rotate to follow the object as needed. However, this is a small issue, and overall, the camera's features are excellent.

I am extremely disappointed with this TP-Link device. Right out of the box, the product completely fails to establish a network connection, rendering it entirely useless for its intended purpose. To make a frustrating situation worse, the customer support from both TP-Link and Amazon has been completely unhelpful. Neither was able to provide the assistance needed to resolve the connectivity issue or offer a proper solution. I expected much better quality control from TP-Link and better service from Amazon. Save your time and money, and look for a more reliable alternative.

Good product to purchase

Just installed it yesterday and I am happy so far. I have been looking for a WIFI camera that has person-detection feature and also announce that through my Echo Show and Echo Dots. I had a few Wyze cameras that had this AI feature and couple of them needed replacement. Recently I purchased two cameras from other brands that claimed to be Alexa enabled but both disappointed me. I could see their video on Echo show but there was no person-detection announcement. Installing the Tapo APP, adding the camera etc. was a breeze. Physical installation was also reasonably easy. Picture quality is good now and hopefully it will not deteriorate as time passes. Overall, it's a great buy considering the price and feature set. Will consider Tapo cameras, whenever I will need to replace my other existing cameras.

Estou testando ha alguns dias e até agora achei a qualidade da imagem excelente, os triggers de gravação por movimento funcionam bem, os downloads para o celular são muito simples e rápidos. Ainda não estou 100% familiarizado com tudo, mas por enquanto não tenho nada a reclamar.

Dies ist meine 3. und 4. TAPO -Kamera. Diese hier im Außeneinsatz (Garten). Wie immer beim TAPO Smarthome-Sytem: Einfache Installation & gute, übersichtliche App. Funktioniert insgesamt gut & zuverlässig. Insbesondere die KI-Personenerkennung sortiert viel 'sonstige' Bewegung aus und vermeidet damit Fehlalarme. Videochip erscheint mir sehr lichtstark: Erst bei sehr tiefer Dämmerung wird auf IR umgeschaltet. Bei mir reicht sogar noch das Restlicht der Straßenlaterne auf der Straßenseite gegenüber für ein Farbbild. Der Videochip kommt dabei auch gut mit Gegenlicht und punktuellen Leuchtquellen im Bildbereich zurecht. Die Stromversorgung erfolgt mit 10 Watt/Volt. Hierzu finden sich günstige Unterputznetzteile im Elektrozubehör für die Outdoor-Montage. Andere TAPO-Kameras vertragen nur 5 Volt, was als Netzteil deutlich seltener und teurer zu bekommen ist. Speicherung in der kostenpflichtigen Cloud (32 Eur/Jahr) oder lokaler SD-Karte. Letzters dann kostenlos - aber von außen leicht zu sabotieren (Schraubdeckel). Überhaupt bietet die Kamera wenig Widerstand gegen schlagenden Angriff: Ist eben alles Kunststoff. Die Montage ist also außerhalb möglicher Angriffsreichweiten erforderlich. Bildzugriff via App oder ONIV (noch nicht probiert). Endlosstreaming nur, wenn Kamera und Handy im gleichen WLAN sind. Ansonsten wird die Wiedergabe nach ein paar Minuten unterbrochen - kann aber nach Bestätigung fortgesetzt werden. Meine Cons: Der Videochip liefert zwar bis in die sehr dunkle Dämmerung noch ein Farbbild. Bei richtiger Dunkelheit (sternenklar) werden jedoch weiße LEDs als Scheinwerfer für ein Farbbild zugeschaltet und bilden im Gegenzug ein schönes Positionslicht. Ebenso finde ich die IR-Leuchtdioden recht stark sichtbar und diese erfüllen damit ebenso die Funktion einer Positionsmarkierung. Die KI-Personenerkennung reagiert m.E. einfach nur auf vertikale-linienhafte Pixelverschiebungen: Auch ein über das Grundstück fallender Lichtstrahl wird so als Person erkannt. Naja, bleibt aber trotzdem besser, als auf jede Katze zu reagieren. Eine konfigurierbare Bewegungsgrenze für die PAN-Funktion fehlt: So verfolgt die Kamera auch mal eine Bewegung bis in den öffentlichen Raum und bleibt dann an den Bewegungen des Straßenverkehrs 'hängen'. Gerne würde ich daher den maximalen Schwenkbereich festsetzen können und nicht bis ins endlose verfolgen. Insgesamt bin ich zufrieden mit dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und habe das gleiche Modell nochmal nachgekauft. Auch die übrigen TAPO Smarthome-Bauteile erscheinen mir funktional & preiswert: Über die schaltbare Steckdose kann ich so bei Personenerkennung der Kamera, die Gartenbeleuchtung via 'TAPO-Automatisierung' einschalten lassen. Top!
