Vitanica Rauwolfia Extra, Snakeroot & Garlic, Vegan, 180 Capsules

I was laid off due to Covid and without insurance. I had to visit the emergency room for another issue and found my BP was through the roof (198/132 - this is not a typo). I was given an over-the-counter pill while waiting in the ER and then told to "follow-up with a doctor" although, like I said, I was unemployed and uninsured at the time. I began researching natural blood pressure reducers and found this. I finally got a job and insurance and visited a doctor a couple of weeks ago. My BP was still high 165/85, but they weren't concerned that I would drop dead in the moment. I'm waiting to see a cardiologist but I'm continuing to take this twice a day (3 times a day made me WAY too sleepy). In the morning, I also take L-Arginine, and Celery Seed extract, and additional Hawthorn berry extract (although this has some in it). With my evening capsule I also take a dose of Ashwagandha and magnesium with additional Hawthorne Berry extract. I'm about to purchase my third bottle of this product, and the biggest side effects I've encountered were nightmares the first couple of nights. I have since remedied that by focusing on only positive things just before I fall asleep, and I don't entertain any negative media before bed. I'm still experiencing exceptionally vivid dreams, but they're not frightening like the first couple of nights. The other side effect I experience is chronic nasal congestion. I have to keep tissues on me all of the times now, and I feel like I'm blowing my nose A LOT. I really don't want to be on pharma BP meds, so I'm working on dropping weight as well. Unfortunately, everyone in my family (fat or thin), on both sides of my family tree, have problems with BP. In summation, 3 months of taking this twice a day, I've managed to drop my systolic (the upper number) pressure by just over 30 points, and my diastolic (the bottom number) has dropped by over 40 points. If I can drop the extra 40 pounds I'm carrying, I'm sure I'll see even better gains. Please note: with numbers like these, I definitely have to be under a doctor's care. They have not yet put me on prescription meds while we await further testing, but they told me to keep doing what I've been doing.

I recently have been on a search to get rid of prescriptions and go natural . I already use many Boiron homeopathic meds. I was on two Blood Pressure pills a day and found out that they cause pancreatic cancer. My husband was on it too and had just died of , you got it, pancreatic cancer. I read all I could find about natural remedies and kept coming back to Rauwolfia Serpentine otherwise known as Indian Snakeroot.. it’s a bark. So I looked on Amazon and there it was. I read all the posts there and they were good so I tried it. My BP stayed all the time 180/85 or higher with 2 prescriptivists pills. I followed directions and took one the next morning. As directed I took my BP at noon. 135/71. Says if you need it you can take it 3 times a day or whatever works. It was about the same at lunch so I skipped the noon one, It Was 145/73 at dinner so I took a second I did not take my perscripts. The next morn it was 138/72 so I took one and have been taking 1-2 a day ever since. When I forget it goes right back to 180. You can read the ingredients and see it’s mostly what you’d find in a good quality tea I’m very happy with this product.

This blood pressure medication is superb! It is based on Serpentina Rauwolfia a natural remedy that has hundreds of years of usage without any side effects typical of big pharma drugs such as sinus congestion and limb weakness. And the new formulation delivers better blood pressure reduction than those that have been available for years. I'm really impressed!

I waited to review this product until it had some time to get into my system and I had sufficient time to find out whether or not it had any side effects. First thing I have to say is WOW! This is the first natural supplement I have tried in 2 years that works in reducing BP readings and I've tried a lot of products. Vitanica took my BP from 150/100 to 125/80 within a week! I checked it every day and every after 2 months of use, my BP always hoovers between 117/75-130/88 at the highest. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is it makes me tired and lowers my energy level. I am experimenting to only taking 1 pill every other day to see if it make a difference. One other concern is, as with any natural product there are some reads out there that suggest snake root may have side effects that's why the medical industry discontinued using it in the 1950's in some countries. I'll keep taking and recommending it. 2/14/18: Update: This product brought my BP down to an average of 130/82 form 150/100. Unfortunately the results only lasted for a few months and my BP went back up. Not going to reorder any more.

I have taken this product for ten years or more, on the advice of my Naturopath. I tried convention BP meds, but always stopped them due to side effects. This product lowers my BP very effectively at a minimal dose (1/2-pill daily) without side effects. I have a sensitive System and find that if I take more I will too sedated. I have also noticed that it will react with over-the-counter cough syrup (rapid heartbeat and increased BP), so I am careful to check on-line about drug interactions. A final note is that Rauwolfia does change the effect of alcohol. Drinking more than a very small amount causes me to feel tired, ''icky'', and a bit dizzy. It is all a small price to pay to have BP in the normal range.
