When the brush cutter is overkill.
Got this after the multihead brush cutter. That's fantastic for brush, and this does great to trim up along the sidewalks. Only takes a minute to change between them, and the power load makes refilling easy.

A Bit of a Fiddle.
About the only news about this trimmer head is loading the string you put a long string through the middle of it, then just wind it up. I usually measure out about twice my outstretched arms worth. Then I just double it over and mark the middle. It's really easier than spooling up a couple of strings but it takes a couple of YouTube vids to get how it's supposed to go. This is probably the first attachment you'll get for your Ego power head, and it's a pretty good dollar to value ratio. One thing to complain about, is that the fender gaurd on it is a little undersized and it tends to throw stuff back at you in a big way. You'll definitely want to wear glasses and DON'T use this near poison oak. I've seen a few solutions made with bits of sheet metal, cardboard, and duct tape, but I've just been careful to cut with the "backside."

Excellent tool
Great addition to my Ego tools. Easy to maneuver around the yard with the carbon fiber rod and it is also easy to load new string even without using the powerload feature.
