This was so much easier to use than other products that disintegrated during application. I’d like to credit these fertilizing sticks for the beautiful lotus blooms this year. The lotus was dormant for several years, but was blessed with blossoms this year!

Although these do leak dust into the water column they are EXCELLENT for plant growth. add them into substrate during a water change

planted these in a shallow area so i was afraid it would pop up again and make a mess. But so far its been great. anything that did accidently pop up was like a clear gel and didn't make any further mess or algae. a little harder to cut than expected but overall very happy with it.

I placed a spike near each plant, and within a few days they were greener, had started new growth, and taller. I have a dirted tank and had been using liquid fertilizer, but the difference so far is noticeable.

I thought these fertilizer sticks would be easier to break down since my preference is to "season" my substrate when starting a new aquarium. The fertilizer contents came encased in a sleeve, their consistency was a fine-like powder, so it was too big of a hassle and quite messy when I attempted to part it out. In the end, I gave up and found myself returning to the aquarium fertilizer I have always used.
