Delicious!
Delicious. Strong, earthy smell just as it should have. I'm making truffle oil with some and saving the rest for fresh pasta. Very versatile. Cuts smoothly. I wish I could control the rain and gas prices so they could be more affordable. Still a very reasonable price for what we received. Keep up the good work, team!

Good product
I was looking for a truffle - I liked this one, but the taste could be more stronger. Still very good to use for cooking!

Poor Quality, Poor Flavor
I would avoid buying these truffles as they are no where close to fresh nor of any quality. The only time you can smell the truffle is when you stick your nose in the jar. Quality truffle can fill an entire room of its aroma which again, these do not. As far as flavor, the flavor is extremely mild. To sum it up, these are mostly likely way past their freshness date and the only thing that is keeping them from spoiling is the brine they rest in.

Delicious for Truffle Butter
These black truffles are always great quality and add amazing flavor to just about any meal. I usually use them to make truffle butter on special occasions, and it turns out earthy and pungent in the best way. Definitely a little luxury worth it! I've bought them a few different times and they are very consistent.

I Paid $20 to Have My Face Assaulted by Flavor
Before I start sounding creepy I need everybody to understand something... I love to cook. I love mushrooms and I for sure love truffles but I only ever used truffle zest, truffle salt, truffle infused oil. I thought I was going to be an uncultured peasant forever… But then I saw these truffles, they were affordable and I couldn’t click “buy now” fast enough… Anyway I was trying to recreate a dish I had once at Hakkasan’s in Vegas. Cold smoked salmon sashimi on top of these delicious potato puffs. I had a few ideas to elevate the dish from what I had eaten there originally and OMG these truffles made the difference… Have you looked at the pics I mean take a look now and if you can’t see, have somebody describe it to you because this dish, I mean just look at it. Not only were the salmon (cold-cured overnight with lemon, salt, sugar, and dill and then cold smoked) and potato puffs (made with a choux ( {pronounced “shoe”} with left over mashed potatoes, eggs, flour, seasoning and a deep fry) turned out crispy on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside, better than the original, but the sauce is what put it over the top. The sauce was mascarpone and crème fraiche with a bit of lemon zest, lemon juice, salt and chives… it was delicious but the “Tobiko” ( this is when I found out Tobiko really is an imitation most of the time and real Tobiko is more than my life is worth so…) and these truffles took it to a whole other level… So spongy, crunchy, succulent, earthy, lux, delectable… I will never not include these when I make this dish again. Also goes amazing with eggs and pasta. This was a happy addition to what is now a staple of this dish and cannot be left out. It added so much flavor and texture to the sauce I cannot experience this food without it. Created this dish for a fraction of the menu price. I couldn’t tell you the original cost but shots fired mine was better (Hakkasan the ball is in your court) If you never had a real truffle these are worth the money. The texture was a bit surprising at first but omg I’m addicted and obsessed… (Insert “shut up and take my money” gif here) Thank you for sourcing truffles for broke ppl like me. Everybody deserves to experience truffles and good food! Enjoy!

the truffles were too small
In the displayed picture of the product it appeared medium truffles. But in the reality you have several very small ones. But anyway, it is a ok product if you are not willing to pay the price of a fresh truffle.
